[Bug 918580] Re: System Settings 'User Interface' name is bad in 12.04

2012-01-30 Thread Mark East
I personally think that the Launcher icon size should stay in the first
tab (if it's staying in the Appearence settings and not moving to
Universal Access) as it doesn't actually change any behavioral aspects
of the launcher.

I agree with feasty that Launcher size is not behavior and I see why it
could join font size in Universal Access.

Hi, you are commenting on a closed bug and should better send the bug to

the gnome UI show that you understand little about what i.e the Ubuntu
Desktop Team is doing, the fact that other teams do design work is
orthogonal to the fact that other people work on fixing bugs

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make

would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 914893] Re: Lost when copying a line!

2012-01-30 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Bug 923364] Re: user-interface: unclear which background image is selected

2012-01-30 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

by apport because this bug is reported for precise and the other for
oneiric? I'm marking this bug as a duplicate and make a comment at bug
#817861 mentioning the newer apport info here.

That's a good idea. Would it also be a good idea to inclue the Universal

was just thinking that it might be good to keep all links to areas
consistent with their symbols. What do you think? I don't know if that
would look ok on a panel like that.

[Bug 923742] [NEW] Evolution must be restarted so that changes in imap profile take effect

2012-01-30 Thread alkayata
Public bug reported:

I made a new mail account at gmx. I decided to download mail via imap,
but I missconfigured the settings. Actually, I spelled wrongly the
server name part of my user name: myem...@gmx.co. As I realized, I
corrected the server name, but evolution kept triyng to contact gmx.co
instead of gmx.com. It didn't get fixed until I restarted it.

If evolution needs to be restarted in order this changes to take effect,
it should be warned.

Thanks!

2012-01-30 Thread Sam_
** Description changed:

Due to investigating bug 918934 found when having identical images there is
no indication which one is selected. (screenshot)
  Expected:
  Highlight selected image.
- Display complete path of image.
+ Display complete path of image.
Would make it unnessecary of basically opening another application to find
out.

  Use-case.
- Have two folders which content the identical image.
+ Have two folders which content the identical image.
One in standard 'pictures' and one in a created custom folder e.g. 'images'.
- Go to user-interface and try to select the preferred one.
+ Go to user-interface and try to select the preferred one from
'pictures-folder' in drop-down menu.

  ## In order to test which image is displayed in unity-greeter, I had to guess
which one is the one in 'pictures', assumed the second one, since I've added it
later and using the one from 'images' before, which didn't display in
unity-greeter.
Anyway, two remember after a few weeks or more which one is the one in
'pictures' or in 'images' may make it necessary to find out by removing either
one of them.

@seb, this is a request from the visual team. Cimi already did the

About the size, the panel should fit without scrolling in a 768 px

2012-01-30 Thread Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 923544 ***

This really never should have ever appeared to work properly, because
gnome-bluetooth isn't (according to upstream) the right place to keep
track of this, and bluez doesn't save killswitch state anywhere...

[Bug 923758] Re: Changes to the theme!

2012-01-30 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we cannot work on this bug because your
description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful
to read How to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!
