Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the

available
libpam0g version 1.1.3-7ubuntu1 required, but 1.1.3-7ubuntu2 is available

libpam-modules version 1.1.3-7ubuntu1 required, but 1.1.3-7ubuntu2 is available
libpam-modules-bin version 1.1.3-7ubuntu1 required, but 1.1.3-7ubuntu2 is
available
libcups2 version 1.5.2-2 required, but 1.5.2-3 is available
outdated debug symbol package for libcups2: package version 1.5.2-3 dbgsym
version 1.5.2-2
upstart version 1.4-0ubuntu5 required, but 1.4-0ubuntu6 is available
libgl1-mesa-glx version 8.0~rc2-0ubuntu4 required, but 8.0~rc2-0ubuntu5 is
available
libnih-dbus1 version 1.0.3-4ubuntu6 required, but 1.0.3-4ubuntu7 is available

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still

[Bug 928341] Re: Unable to start conversations

2012-02-09 Thread Chris January
Yes, it is reproducible, but I don't know exactly what circumstances
trigger it I'm afraid. Today I managed to reproduce it immediately after
Empathy started. A video demonstrating the problem is attached. I'm not
sure how useful it is. Basically I just double click on one of my
contacts and nothing happens. If you would like log files please tell me
how to generate them, and where to find them afterwards.

[Bug 876522] Re: black screen when dim screen to save power

2012-02-09 Thread David Beswick
This issue seems to be resolved for me, I haven't seen it in a while
whereas it was previously very intrusive. I'm running Unity 2D and
previously experienced it under that environment. I haven't changed
anything specific to this issue besides accepting regularly scheduled
updates. I had continued to experience this in December. I'll comment if
I see it again.

other special keys like Av mode , S1 , etc ( names differ per laptop -
keyboard ) doesn't responding as well and if you try to log out it
says that you cant because gnome-settings-deamon is not responding .

[Bug 875449] Re: PDF randomly zooms in and out upon scrolling with scroll wheel

2012-02-09 Thread Matthew Lockwood
It can't be consistently and reliably triggered. There are times when I
don't see this bug show up at all. I've never seen it show up with a
short PDF, however by keeping evince open for extended periods
(sometimes days) while viewing a long document and switching between
windows, the bug tends to appear at the point where I either ALT+TAB to
the evince window, or navigating the document with the mouse wheel,
arrow keys, or j, andr k keys.

Read a long document, say a book, while making notes in another window
and you'll eventually see the error.

It's definitely not a bug I'd seen before the version of evince packaged
with 11.10.

2012-02-09 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Mark, you can read most of the discussion on
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=653015

There is some need for extra discussion and maybe some disagreement on
the design but also valid technical concerns it seems, that's something
we should better keep working on and iterate to improve and reach
something which work for everybody

[Bug 857695] Re: gimp-2.6 crashed with SIGSEGV in g_utf8_normalize()

2012-02-09 Thread idovecer
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 849288 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/849288

Anyone maybe have more info about this bug?
It is very annoying.

Using Ubuntu 11.10 (64bit), gimp crashes on almost every save or save as (no
matter what size of photo, no matter what format - jpg, png, gif, xcf...).
Gimp doesn't crash after 1-3 saves, but always after more than one save (after
3-5 save and than crash).
I also try to upgrade to latest 2.7 gimp, but the same thing happens.

Thanks anyone for more info.

[Bug 929489] [NEW] Tracks imported from CD to flac have MD5 signature mismatch

To get seahorse to automatically add the key, you will have to export
the public key and save it as id_rsa.pub.

$ ssh-keygen -y
Enter file in which the key is (/home/pravin/.ssh/id_rsa):
Enter passphrase:

And then save the public key generated in a file called id_rsa.pub

[Bug 848562] Re: gnome-shell lock screen does not display password prompt

2012-02-09 Thread Jānis Džeriņš
I have found a workaround: for some reason, the password dialog wants to
only show up on one of the monitors, but only the one on which the mouse
is when showing the password dialog is displaying stuff (stuff being
anything else besides the top bar). So what I do when I don't see the
password dialog is to press escape once, then move the mouse to the
other monitor, and press escape again.

This may have something to do with the fact that I'm using nVidia
drivers (there are always some annoyances with it and two-monitor
setup). Nouveau had better behaviour with two monitors, but I have not
been using it for a very long time.

[Bug 929577] [NEW] Appearance Behavior Reveal sensitivity should work opposite

2012-02-09 Thread Jo-Erlend Schinstad
Public bug reported:

The reveal sensitivity slider in Appearance Behavior gave me the
impression that it went from slow to fast. After carefully reading the
labels, I eventually figured out that it was opposite. But if the
immediate reaction counts, and I think it should, then it seems to me
that it should work the opposite way, so that left is most sensitive.

I understand why that might sound odd. However, I think most users won't
look at it as sensitivity, but how long it takes to reveal the launcher.
In that case, it makes sense that right will decrease sensitivitym since
you're increasing the time it takes to reveal it.. Of course, this is my
subjective experience. But if I were surprised – I actually thought it
didn't work at first – then I think others might too. At the very least,
this should be tested on innocent users.

It might've been easier to understand if the default was at the middle.
The fact that this wouldn't necessarily be mathematically correct, is
less important, I think.

[Bug 929573] [NEW] /usr/bin/rsvg removed from latest upload (causing FTBFSes in archive)

2012-02-09 Thread Scott Howard
Public bug reported:

The most recent upload of rsvg (2.35.2-0ubuntu1) no longer includes
/usr/bin/rsvg.

imagemagick's convert uses it to convert svgs to other file types.

Many packages use convert in the build to generate the pixmaps
required for debian menus.

See:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/92231198/buildlog_ubuntu-precise-i386.librecad_1.0.0%2Bnolibs-1_FAILEDTOBUILD.txt.gz

Either imagemagick or rsvg should be fixed so the convert command works again.

rather on the upstream tracker where the gedit writers will read them
