[Bug 929585] Re: The system settings window is a bit too small after Ubuntu's changes
Thanks for the feedback. I was asking about the resolution because right now when running on a netbook-sized screen, which do not have enough space for the window, the patch maximizes the window. In this situation you get scrollbars but that cannot be avoided. What you report is different however: when there is enough room around, System Settings indeed uses a fixed size (it was doing this before the patch as well). I thought I increased it enough but obviously it needs a few more pixels. Will look into this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/929585 Title: The system settings window is a bit too small after Ubuntu's changes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/929585/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 22483] Re: Rhythmbox has case-sensitivity
A couple of points raised upstream: I think this isn't a bug because there are unique artists with no difference except capitalization, for example HiM (http://musicbrainz.org/showartist.html?artistid=119294) and HIM (http://musicbrainz.org/showartist.html?artistid=1881) How about just fixing your tags? Multiple entries are just Rhythmbox' way of showing you that you're being messy. We shouldn't be trying to update the user's tags based on their case - they may want them that way. No other music manager that I'm aware of (I've used Rhythmbox, Banshee, iTunes, Zune and Windows Media Player) do that because it's contrary to what the user expects to happen when they import their library. Rhythmbox is just a manager - its sole job is to interpret the existing tags, not what it thinks the user wants them to be. ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Milestone: precise-4-music-video = None ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: Triaged = Invalid ** Changed in: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged = Invalid ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Assignee: Papercuts Ninja (papercuts-ninja) = (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/22483 Title: Rhythmbox has case-sensitivity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/22483/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 933333] [NEW] Empathy open conversation window off screen after monitor is disconnected

Best regards, and let me know if I can help you somehow, Nico ** On my updated Ubuntu 11.10 32 bit: 1) In dconf-editor I've changed: apps - brasero -plugin growisofs priority to 50 (before it was 0) wodim priority to -50 (before it was 0) -- same problem of unreadable DVD without any error from the program. 2) setting growisofs priority to -50 wodim priority to 50 gives a visual error around 60% of the process : stderr: wodim: Cannot fixate disk. I suggest you to try cdrecord not wodim (cdrkit) which comes installed by default on Ubuntu. 4) This is not so clear to me... [Bug 401823] Re: Gdk-WARNING **: XID collision, trouble ahead
@Chinmay Well, I don't know about at .deb, but there is a package of the 10.3 player (the FINAL version) called flash-plugin-10.3.183.11-release.i386.rpm. Just for test I tried installing it with $ rpm -i --force-debian --nodeps flash-plugin-10.3.183.11-release.i386.rpm and what I can I say, it worked! =D For IceWeasel, I just had to symlink from /usr/lib/flash-plugin/libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins and voila! BTW, don't be worried about the --nodeps override; RPM cannot correctly detect dependencies on Debian and even does not know about existence of a sane libc6/libstdc++/whatever system, so it generally assumes you have literally none of the above. Though you do have those and they work.) - Besides, there is also a v11 package out meanwhile: flashplayer-mozilla_11.1.102.55-0.2_i386.deb This time, for IceWeasel, symlink from /usr/lib/flashplayer-mozilla/libflashplayer.so to said Iceweasel plugins directory. [Bug 367037] Re: Error while burning - some files may be corrupted on the disc
Marking Invalid for now because it seems to work, but may be dependent on the hardware. If this is an issue with OEM again I will reopen. ** Changed in: oem-priority Status: Triaged = Won't Fix ** Changed in: oem-priority Status: Won't Fix = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to brasero in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/367037 Title: Error while burning - some files may be corrupted on the disc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/brasero/+bug/367037/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 933550] [NEW] crashes after clicking on 'copy CD/DVD' again
Public bug reported: i'm copying a lot of DVDs to HDD the first works without problems. after finishing the copy process i cut and paste the file into another dir on HDD, throw the DVD out with the option 'Tools', insert another DVD and click on copy CD/DVD. there Brasero fails and crashes without comment. reopening it again i can copy the DVD to HDD normal, but i crashes at the second time. this is also reproducible when i cancel the copy-job and then clicking again on 'copy CD/DVD'...
