[Bug 408903] Re: Does not handle microphone mute button (KEY_MICMUTE)

2012-03-21 Thread Steven Keys
I'm on a ThinkPad X220 running Xubuntu 11.10 64-bit and can confirm that
the mic mute button does not respond, and the LED does not light up
either. Have not tried any of the fixes.

[Bug 960892] [NEW] gnome-terminal goest to black, all slow

2012-03-21 Thread locust
Public bug reported:

amd 64 3.2.0-18-generic - latest nvidia (not ubuntu packed)
I don't know if it is a gnome-terminal generated bug,
but after a partial upgrade to oneiric the gnome-session is loading very slow
after login, and the backscreen of gnome terminal is black (I can't see
anything of what I'm writing but it goes) and also the two gnome-panel like
(I'm using gnome classic instead of unity) are black covered. The pc is slow
and the first moving of the gnome-terminal windows was crappy (later was a bit
better). Only glxgears goes really (50%) faster (so I don't know if it's a bug
;-) ).
Thanks in advance for your interest.
David

[Bug 945399] Re: Regression: nautilus not mounting network share in ~/.gvfs

2012-03-21 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package gvfs - 1.11.5-1ubuntu1

---
gvfs (1.11.5-1ubuntu1) precise; urgency=low

  * Merge with Debian experimental. Remaining Ubuntu changes:
- debian/control.in: Drop libbluray-dev build dependency (not in main).

gvfs (1.11.5-1) experimental; urgency=low

  [ Michael Biebl ]
  * Bump Build-Depends on cdbs and debhelper for multiarch support.
  * Replace Depends on fuse-utils with fuse, as fuse-utils is now only a
transitional package depending on fuse.

  [ Martin Pitt ]
  * debian/watch: Watch for development versions in experimental.
  * New upstream release:
- fuse: Keep using ~/.gvfs as fallback (LP: #945399)
  * Drop 02_deprecated.patch: Fixed upstream.
  * debian/control.in: Bump glib build dependency as per configure.ac.
  * debian/copyright: Move to copyright format 1.0.
  * debian/control.in: Bump Standards-Vesion to 3.9.3.

[Bug 959184] Re: Option to Lock screen afer screen turns off is ignored

2012-03-21 Thread Neil Broadley
This is fixed on the Toshiba actually, but I was originally testing on
the Chronos laptop, which remains broken. The only two obvious
differences between the two laptops is the Chronos has an ATI card,
using the fglrx drivers (from hardware drivers), and also sports a
backlit keyboard.

I notice that the backlight stays on when I close the lid and the screen
goes off, so I think it may have something to do with the failure to
lock.

I'll log a new bug against that hardware specifically.

[Bug 960962] Crash report cannot be processed

2012-03-21 Thread Apport retracing service
Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

outdated debug symbol package for libgconf2-4: package version
3.2.5-0ubuntu1 dbgsym version 3.2.3-0ubuntu0.1

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

[Bug 960853] Re: Show position of pointer when the Control key is pressed doesn't honor modified control key configs

2012-03-21 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 961002] [NEW] [soundnua] HDMI output is not updated when selected

2012-03-21 Thread David Henningsson
Public bug reported:

1) I opened sound settings.
2) I attached and activated a secondary HDMI monitor.
3) I selected the HDMI output in sound settings and clicked test sound, it
was working correctly.
4) I then changed profile for the HDMI output from stereo to 5.1. That's when,
I believe, things went wrong. At that point, the selection was moved
automatically from the HDMI output to the analog output.
When I now reselect the HDMI output, the HDMI output is selected in the left
pane, but the right pane UI is not updated - the profile box still says Analog
stereo duplex and clicking Test sound it says Speaker testing for Analog
output.

[Bug 958898] Re: [network]: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in nm_device_get_udi()

2012-03-21 Thread Tedesco
With no application in use I started Remmina to connect to another
Linux-Box. No conextion was set up - timeout.

Start of Network from the Dash, click on Network proxy - after 3 - 5
seconds crash of Network / closed the window.

Now with Firefox writing this words .. I tried to open Network and it is
possible to switch between Wired and Network proxy to see the information.
Now on the same time I started Remmina to try to connect like before. But now
the main Window is gray (overload?) and the little Connecting to ... window
is open but you can't use the Cancel button.

On the Network Window selected Wired the Options -Button is deactivated.
After an CLOSE and OPEN Network the Options... -Button is active again.

To close the Remmina Window you have to click on the close button of the
main window and use the Force Quit in the upcomming window.

@roignac: How is this bug a duplicate of #44563? That bug is for auto-arranging
desktop icons.
The linked bug for show in groups reported in bugzilla is 10 years old and i
really dont think those guys will look at it.
I think this should be pushed as a request to the gnome devs again instead of
marking it as duplicate

Sayantan, this contains links to upstream bug

'Group By' and autorarrangement.
This bug also is an ehnancement, so there is no point in creating
duplicates. A better solution would be finding someone interested in
implementing this.

Open Network from Dash. Tried to click on all active fields to change

On the same window click on All applications and start again the Network.
Try to click al active items. Click on All applications. And so on ...
Three or four times and the next click on Network caused the crash.

[Bug 961188] [NEW] Cannot read cross-reference streams where offsets are stored on more than 4 bytes

2012-03-21 Thread Vincent
Public bug reported:

In cross-reference streams, entries of type 1 refer to uncompressed
indirect objects. The second field is the byte offset of the object from
the beginning of the file. If the PDF file is big ( 8GB), then the
offset may overflow the size of a 32bit integer. So it must be possible
to store the offset on more than 4 bytes. Poppler doesn't seem to
support this at the moment.

See line 633 of XRef.cc in poppler 0.16.7:
if (w[i]  0 || w[i]  4) {
  goto err1;
}

** Affects: poppler (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New
