[Bug 960892] [NEW] gnome-terminal goest to black, all slow
Public bug reported: amd 64 3.2.0-18-generic - latest nvidia (not ubuntu packed) I don't know if it is a gnome-terminal generated bug, but after a partial upgrade to oneiric the gnome-session is loading very slow after login, and the backscreen of gnome terminal is black (I can't see anything of what I'm writing but it goes) and also the two gnome-panel like (I'm using gnome classic instead of unity) are black covered. The pc is slow and the first moving of the gnome-terminal windows was crappy (later was a bit better). Only glxgears goes really (50%) faster (so I don't know if it's a bug ;-) ). [Bug 959184] Re: Option to Lock screen afer screen turns off is ignored
This is fixed on the Toshiba actually, but I was originally testing on the Chronos laptop, which remains broken. The only two obvious differences between the two laptops is the Chronos has an ATI card, using the fglrx drivers (from hardware drivers), and also sports a backlit keyboard. I notice that the backlight stays on when I close the lid and the screen goes off, so I think it may have something to do with the failure to lock. I'll log a new bug against that hardware specifically. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/959184 Title: Option to Lock screen afer screen turns off is ignored To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/959184/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 961002] [NEW] [soundnua] HDMI output is not updated when selected
Public bug reported: 1) I opened sound settings. 2) I attached and activated a secondary HDMI monitor. 3) I selected the HDMI output in sound settings and clicked test sound, it was working correctly. 4) I then changed profile for the HDMI output from stereo to 5.1. That's when, I believe, things went wrong. At that point, the selection was moved automatically from the HDMI output to the analog output. When I now reselect the HDMI output, the HDMI output is selected in the left pane, but the right pane UI is not updated - the profile box still says Analog stereo duplex and clicking Test sound it says Speaker testing for Analog output. [Bug 961188] [NEW] Cannot read cross-reference streams where offsets are stored on more than 4 bytes
Public bug reported: In cross-reference streams, entries of type 1 refer to uncompressed indirect objects. The second field is the byte offset of the object from the beginning of the file. If the PDF file is big ( 8GB), then the offset may overflow the size of a 32bit integer. So it must be possible to store the offset on more than 4 bytes. Poppler doesn't seem to support this at the moment.
