[Bug 973130] [NEW] [UIFE] Adding landscape installer caused UI overflow
Public bug reported: The recent UIFE/FFE to add the landscape client installer (bug 961606) now causes the control-center layout to overflow and look ugly. [Bug 969235] Re: Keyboard shortcuts - Update some window management shortcuts to use Ctrl + Super instead of just Super

[Bug 972962] Re: Brasero hides itself after burning ISO from command line
Happens also on Precise for me. Steps to reproduce: - Start Nautilus, open an ISO file with Brasero. - Click Cancel, Brasero closes. - Try to open the same or another ISO file again. Result: Nothing happens, Brasero won't open again. 'ps -e | grep brasero' shows that there is still a Brasero process in the background. If one kills this process, Brasero will start again after the next attempt. [Bug 973221] [NEW] Lock screen breaks wallpaper on dual head
Public bug reported: I have two screens in a Nvidia/Twinview setup. There is a single-image wallpaper centered over the joined screens. When the lock screen shows, the wallpaper only shows on one screen (but the date/user information at the top shows on both). The aspect is preserved so this looks awful. On a typical HDA intel device these would look like output:analog-stereo: Analogue Stereo Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 6000) output:analog-stereo+input:analog-stereo: Analogue Stereo Duplex (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 6060) output:hdmi-stereo: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 5400) output:hdmi-stereo+input:analog-stereo: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output + Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 5460) output:hdmi-surround: Digital Surround 5.1 (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 300) output:hdmi-surround+input:analog-stereo: Digital Surround 5.1 (HDMI) Output + Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 360) output:hdmi-stereo-extra1: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 5200) output:hdmi-stereo-extra1+input:analog-stereo: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output + Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 5260) output:hdmi-surround-extra1: Digital Surround 5.1 (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 100) output:hdmi-surround-extra1+input:analog-stereo: Digital Surround 5.1 (HDMI) Output + Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 160) output:hdmi-stereo-extra2: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 5200) output:hdmi-stereo-extra2+input:analog-stereo: Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output + Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 5260) output:hdmi-surround-extra2: Digital Surround 5.1 (HDMI) Output (sinks: 1, sources: 0, priority. 100) output:hdmi-surround-extra2+input:analog-stereo: Digital Surround 5.1 (HDMI) Output + Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 1, sources: 1, priority. 160) input:analog-stereo: Analogue Stereo Input (sinks: 0, sources: 1, priority. 60) off: Off (sinks: 0, sources: 0, priority. 0) From the perspective of the output, there are only two real choices here - HDMI stereo or HDMI surround. Everything else is stereo output. From the input perspective, there are none - everything is stereo input. The new sound settings attempts to figure out if there is a choice for the user and if so only present those profiles in the combo for that device. The need to expose the card has been made redundant in favour of exposing the card ports. This means now the user can swap to the HDMI 'port' without having to change profile on the card tab like before. It will hopefully greatly simplify the usage of sound devices. Bluetooth devices can be seen to expose their relevant profiles, currently there is a bug with USB devices which will be fixed shortly (waiting on test device to arrive). Did you find that the new design is hiding something that you previously could do ? ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New = In Progress -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/972554 Title: [soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile selection To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/972554/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 973334] [NEW] default document name remains when creating dot files
Public bug reported: 1) ensure that Nautilus does not display hidden files (view-show hidden files is unticked) 2) right click in a folder, select Create New Document - Empty Document 3) name the document .is_audio_player and press enter The document name goes back to Untitled Document in nautilus, however if you examine the filesystem the file has actually been created as .is_audio_player. What I would expect to happen is that the displayed name remains at .is_audio_player after I press enter, otherwise it leads me to believe that I was unsuccessful at changing the filename. Given that I have just created a hidden file, I might expect that it would immediately disappear after I have renamed it. I might also expect that it was displayed (with the correct name) because I had it selected. [Bug 972554] Re: [soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile selection
Hi Conor, Thanks for looking into this. Unfortunately, the new design is hiding something I used to rely on. The sound card in question, an E-MU 404 USB, also offers many profiles and one of them is Digital Surround Output 4.0 + IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output (I don't have the device at hand ATM but it's a similar name). This profile is not shown in the new design where the card only shows 2 other profiles that are not compatible with my setup since I need S/PDIF output. Another problem with the new design is that I don't know how to define the default output. Less importantly, I also miss the off profile for a card (i.e: to turn off built-in sound card with horrible speakers). Let me know if I can provide more informations. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/972554 Title: [soundnua]: new capplet does not expose the sound card profile selection To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/972554/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 920201] [NEW] python2.7 crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_box_pack()
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Precise pangolin ubuntu system, fully updated. I was playing around with python and pygi, with this code: from gi.repository import Gtk class BottomBox(Gtk.Box): def __init__(self): self.Lowerlimit = Gtk.SpinButton() self.Upperlimit = Gtk.SpinButton() self.GoButton = Gtk.Button() self.pack_start(self.Lowerlimit, True, False, 0) self.pack_start(self.Upperlimit, True, False, 0) self.pack_start(self.GoButton, True, False, 0) bottombox = BottomBox() win = Gtk.Window() win.connect(delete-event, Gtk.main_quit) win.add(bottombox) win.show_all() Gtk.main() I realise that it's probably my code that is bad, but I'm guessing python shouldn't segfault. If it is meant to, then please dismiss the bug. Thanks!
