[Bug 990965] Re: unexpected right click behavior in nautilus
Just to clarify the issue: in List view, right-clicking an empty area of an item's row or a folder's expand/collapse arrow, i.e. right-clicking outside an item's icon or text (name, type, date, etc.), deselects any selected items and displays the (current tab's) folder's context menu. I hope this is a bug, because it is obviously a counterintuitive behaviour when using List view; right-clicking anywhere in an item's row should bring up that same item's (or the selection's, if the item is part of it) context menu. I never noticed this before upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/990965 Title: unexpected right click behavior in nautilus To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/990965/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 990725] Re: Shotwell will not detect mts moviefiles on memory card
Hi Adam, That is a real pity! A lot of digicams these days carry their movies in a acvhd bluray disc compatible directory that is not beneath the dcim directory ( at least the panasonic camera's) I was quite confident that shotwell would replace digikam on my wife's and my dad's new ubuntu install. I tested it quite a while and it seemed the ideal solution until now . It really does need to download video's too, otherwise these less computer literate people are not going to cope with it. Could you consider to add a toggle for this in the settings? Is there any other work around? [Bug 969359] Re: gnome-settings-daemon consumes 100% cpu
I'm experiencing this problem too. On Ubuntu 11.10 - this problem only started recently however, like in the past couple of weeks maximum, perhaps it was due to the recent version of some software in apt. [Bug 991912] [NEW] Confusing button labelling on disk eject dialogue
Public bug reported: When burning a CD ISO to an physical CD using a CD drive that does not support software eject, Brasero displays a message dialogue asking the user to manually eject the CD from the drive (see attached screen shot). Although the message is reasonably clear, there is only one button in this dialogue labelled Cancel. This is extremely confusing as it suggests that clicking that button will cancel the just finished write operation. Furthermore, the dialogue offers no alternative action that would make sense. A better wording for this button would be Done. Close should be avoided as users may wonder whether this closes the drive or the dialogue. Steps to reproduce 1. Download an ISO (e.g. Ubuntu server 12.04); 2. Burn the ISO using Brasero and a CD drive that cannot be opened via software; 3. The dialogue appears with its confusing Cancel button. [Bug 871133] Re: Ubuntu Oneric Volume Step Can Not be Changed
I just looked a bit at the source and how hard to fix should depend on how nice a solution you want. If you only want to change the number of steps it should be enough to change their hardcoded line: #define VOLUME_STEP 6 /* percents for one volume button press */ to say 2. Ideally though would be to make it configurable such that VOLUME_STEP is like before in gnome2 is externally configurable. The problem though is that the Gnome viewpoint is flawed since they have built it for embedded sound systems where the usable volume is from 0% up to 100% but if you use an external sound system then this is usually not the case but rather 20-30 % might me maximum. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/871133 Title: Ubuntu Oneric Volume Step Can Not be Changed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/871133/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Re: [Bug 990682] Re: package python-crypto 2.4.1-1 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
I've just found something that may or may not be related to the bug. Not sure about it. My 12.04 is installed aboard a notebook. I've noticed that when suspending, a message shows up in text screen: *...(some ids.)... host controller process error. Very bad !* *...(some ids.)... host controller halted. Fatal* *...(some ids.)... HC died; cleaning up.* and then everything remains frozen till I press the notebook power button. After that the notebook gets suspended and, upon the following power up, it wakes up as smoothly as ever. Doesn't seem harmful but it's there. Do you think it's related to the same bug ? Or I'd better report it as a different bug ? Sorry about bothering again. Best regards. gck. g - c - k On Sun, Apr 29, 2012 at 5:05 PM, Scott Kitterman ubu...@kitterman.comwrote: Yes.
