[Bug 1078613] [NEW] Rhythbox slow start - 23sec before window

[Bug 1077696] Re: mounted samba share stops working for file access
I'm using quantal 12.10 and gvfs 1.14 I have the same problem you can't kill VLC when it gets stuck which happens about 50% of the you try to start video. Same happens with GNOME mplayer if you open two of them to play same file. Only way to kill all stuck processes is to kill gvfsd-smb. Tried upgrading fuse to 2.9.2 since it has some kind deadlock fixes. I though gvfsd-smb used fuse but building fuse and upgrading it to 2.9.2 didn't help. gvfsd-fuse seems to be stuck as well. Because if i try to kill gvfsd- fuse it doesn't get killed until gvfsd-smb is killed. [Bug 1073823] Re: Shotwell does not link movies to events when migrating existing collection
In fact I insert the SD card into my cardreader. No camera involved. As I mentioned before, the movie files are stored in a Bluray disc filesystem compatible format on the card. Maybe more info is present elsewhere in that structure, which is lost after files are stored on the harddisk. After download they are stored in date coded folders as they have been with my previous photo management tool. [Bug 1068155] Re: pulsesink: Segfault in pulsesink.c:2077 gst_pulsesink_pad_acceptcaps()
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) I can only reproduce the problem using a some of our closed source code, and even then it's a relatively uncommon crash. I only had a small amount of time playing around trying to trigger the bug in a minimal test, but were unable to do so. I understand that this might disqualify it from getting into the stable release. [Bug 1078679] [NEW] Gnome fallback - intermittent menus on top panel
Public bug reported: Ubuntu 12.04.1, up-to-date. [Bug 1041137] Re: Activating suspend from power button menu does not work
Uploaded to raring-proposed queue for SRU team review. ** Description changed: When I click the power button on my laptop, the suspend/reboot/shutdown menu shows up. Selecting suspend does nothing. The other buttons work. Suspend works if you activate it by closing the lid or by selecting suspend from the top right corner menu. + + SRU TEST CASE: See description above; pressing the suspend button in + the dialog that pops up after pressing the power button should actually + suspend the machine. + + SRU PATCH: http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome- + session/commit/?id=e7cbff3fb381c , landed in raring and upstream + yesterday. + + REGRESSION POTENTIAL: None of the upower methods (that is, suspend and + hibernation) worked in gnome-session before as the client object has + never been initialized. [Bug 1078679] Re: Gnome fallback - intermittent menus on top panel
I've just experienced it again in an LTSP fat client. The first line translates to window manager warning, and the second one to window manager warning: cancelled WM_TRANSIENT_FOR window 0x3a1 that was defined for 0x3a3 (No nam...) gnome-panel --replace did _not_ work the first time, it resulted in the same non-functioning panel without menus, but it worked fine the second time I ran it. I should also note that LTSP fat clients are using SSHFS, just in case someone finds out it's related to file locking or something. [Bug 296585] Re: Archive Mounter action should open mounted folder
I consider this broken, not a bug. Is anyone still working on this project; this is still not fixed four years later. Has anyone done anything with this? Seriously, Microsoft has been able to have this built in since Windows XP. Additionally, Linux now has a way of defining universal default programs. [Bug 984785] Re: .goutputstream files polluting $HOME
I have this bug with my Dell M1330 laptop that is running Xubuntu 12.04 64bit with Thunar as my file manager. It appears that it has nothing to do with file manager. I remember when I fresh installed, I had some problems with lightdm causing slow booting that I fixed with a patch: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1970326page=5. All of my .goutstream-* files seem to be associated with shutdown. For now I'm just periodically deleting the files when I notice a stack of them, but it would be nice to get a real fix for this. I'd rather not autorun a script to delete these benign files, but that is a temporary workaround. Hope this information helps in the quest to nail down this minor issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to glib2.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984785 Title: .goutputstream files polluting $HOME To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/glib/+bug/984785/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1078928] [NEW] brasero leaves process running
Public bug reported: In Gnome when I right click on an ISO and Open with Brasero to burn I noticed that even with a successfully burn there was always a process left running. So next time you try to Right Click Burn nothing will happen. This was true for the last couple versions of Ubuntu. Although on 12.04 the CD also did not eject correctly on finishing. For me the following fix worked.
