I downgraded to confirm the old version was working (it was). Upgraded again and this time the Fn keys weren't working, but the brightness slider was present. [Bug 241736] Re: support EPUB format
Evince *should* suport epub. Having a handful of apps, clearly labeled, to handle out-of-the-box all of the most popular content formats is one of the best selling points for Ubuntu in my experience. Mark, YOU broke this, so it is YOUR responsibility to fix it. Not mine. Not the guy commenting above me. Not any other contributor to Ubuntu. [Bug 1082916] [NEW] Please make Ubuntu navbar patch Unity-specific
Public bug reported: For the Ubuntu GNOME Remix, we're trying to ship a nearly pure GNOME experience on Ubuntu. This can also be useful for Ubuntu designers and developers as they can simply run XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME gnome- control-center so see the GNOME user interface. [Bug 1052481] Re: Nautilus's split pane lacks an indicator for the active pane
What has to be done is simply adding something like: .nautilus-inactive-pane .view { background-color: shade (@bg_color, 0.8); } in the gtk-3.0/apps/nautilus.css file for the Ambiance theme. Varying the coefficient (0.8) will make it lighter/darker. Or we could use another color instead of the default bg_color. After doing some googling, it seems that the extra pane does not exist in Nautilus 3.6 (https://live.gnome.org/Nautilus/Roadmap/3.6 and there's also a discussion here http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2012/08/ubuntu-12-10 -may-ship-with-older-but-more-featured-nautilus). Probably this is why the styling was removed from Adwaita trunk. So, we should ask around if Ubuntu plans to stay with 3.4 for raring, otherwise this bug has no relevance. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1052481 Title: Nautilus's split pane lacks an indicator for the active pane To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1052481/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 974963] Re: [soundnua]: hdmi audio missing in sound settings
I have a similar hardware setup, and the same problem. When my HDMI TV goes on standby or of, the E350 integreated graphics card's HDMI sound out is no longer listed as a audio device under sound settings. My workaround is to log out and back in again. Unpluging the HDMLI and plugging it in again also brings the sound back to life. Restarting pulse does not work for me, neither does it help to send noise to the HDMI port. I see Beltrachi says it works for him, though that was from bringing the machine up again from suspension. My PC stays on. I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with unity. [Bug 1052481] Re: Nautilus's split pane lacks an indicator for the active pane
Hi RaduStoica. Thanks for taking the time to investigate this. About the Nautilus versions issue, Ubuntu is using the 3.4 branch on its LTS release, and even if they backport an update to 3.6 (unlikely), the majority of users should keep the 3.4 for 3 years at least, so I think it worth fixing.

[Bug 1082974] [NEW] Musicbrainz shows tracks from first disc for all subsequent discs
Public bug reported: For a box set, insert the first disc, Musicbrainz returns details of the first disc. Extract the disc. Insert the second disc. Instead of returning the details of the second disc, the details of the first disc are returned again, i.e. if the first disc had 5 tracks and the second disc had 7 tracks then you would see the 5 tracks from disc 1 (including durations) and then the first 2 tracks from disc 2. This has happened with two different box sets I have been importing recently. It is particularly annoying because the correct durations are overridden, which makes it impossible to correct the information manually and extract the disc.
