[Bug 1072693] Re: Empathy does not connect accounts, Facebook, Google, Outlook
Hello again. I don't know where is a bug. But in my case problem problem was hidden in a /home. Empathy or Ubuntu Online Accounts was wrong saved a settings in /home. In my case delete configuration was worked right, but we must check a UOA (ubuntu online accounts) for bug in here. If I remember correctly this operation (delete config) can reset a icons settings to default. I delete a empathy config from .local, .share, and completly delete .gconf (for fixed other problem) from /home. I delete a folder enthusiastically for fix a another system problem and Empathy can repaired by the way. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072693 Title: Empathy does not connect accounts, Facebook, Google, Outlook To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/1072693/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1083497] [NEW] Empathy doesn't detect online accounts
Public bug reported: My professionnal PC was first installed with Ubuntu 12.04 64. Then, I setup the system to connect my active directory server. Done. In this configuration, I've had some issues with Empathy, each time I rebooted the PC, I had to setup all my IM account (Google MSN). It was boring, but it worked. Some days ago, I upgraded the PC to 12.10. The upgrade worked smoothly, and didn't degrade the AD integration. I entered my online accounts in the dedicated applet. But now, Empathy doesn't work at all. The Empathy window shows You need to setup an account to see contacts here with the Account settings button. If I click this button, I see all the accounts I previously setup. For each IM account, beside the account Empathy section, I see an Options button, if I click it, I get an empty window with just 2 buttons Cancel Done. [Bug 1072693] Re: Empathy does not connect accounts, Facebook, Google, Outlook
For me it started to work partly yesterday. Because I did a lot of stuff, I cannot say why. First I tried out the gnome3 PPA. To uninstall this I had to reinstall ubuntu-desktop. This seemed not to solve the problem. I also read about an time server problem which would cause that gnome-online-accounts could not resolve all related hosts. I updated the system time. Furthermore there have been some related updates. In the end, gnome-online-accounts (Ubuntu) were able to connect to all (gtalk, hotmail, facebook). But now my google calendar in thunderbird disappeared and Thunderbird is asking always for a password, which it did not before. [Bug 1075923] Re: nautilus hangs copying large directories from a samba share
I have this problem since updating the client to 12.10. On large copies from an 12.04 Server over samba mounted using gvfs (nautilus). I tried nautilus itself, rsync and cp. All of them stop working after around 100-600MB. The curious thing is, i tried to copy images/videos from an iphone with just the same problem. After 100-600MB nautilus stops copying. Because of this i think it isnt related to smb only. I have to restart the whole client to start the copy again because the copy process gets zombies after a kill. [Bug 1083811] [NEW] Duplicated panels using separate x screens
Public bug reported: I'm trying to use separate x screens on nvidia card with 3 monitors. I'm expecting one top panel + one bottom panel on each screen, but instead i have got all panels on one screen. Restarting gnome panel (gnome-panel --replace) it will create two extra (blank) panel pairs on same screen, but new applets will be added on first panel pair. Screenshot ilustrating problem can be found here - http://askubuntu.com/questions/177226/duplicated-menu-panel-indicators- and-taskbar I tried to manualy set screen key (org-gnome-gnome- panel-layout-toplevels-top-panel-screen) on wich screen panel should appear with dconf Editor. But restarting gnome-panel that key will be reseted. Downloaded gnome-panel source code (apt-get source gnome-panel), spend some time trying to find problem, and probably i found it in file panel- toplevel.c. Line 4458: if (!screen || GDK_IS_SCREEN (screen)) Line 4459: screen = gdk_screen_get_default (); These lines are responsible for resetting screen key. It will reset screen to default if currenct screen exist, but its not what we want. We want reset screen to default if screen dosnt exist, so line 4458 should be - if (!screen || !GDK_IS_SCREEN (screen)) After compiling and installing new package, gnome panel works as expected. [Bug 596193] Re: file-roller doesn't handle zip archives containing accentued characters correctly
As I studied this issue a little bit, I'd give a brief summary here. There are Unicode enabled and non-Unicode enabled ZIP archives. If you system has unzip/zip but not 7z, neither type of ZIP archives can be displayed in File Roller. This due to limitation of unzip. If you system has 7z, File Roller can correctly display Unicode enabled ZIP archives.
