[Bug 1088124] [NEW] GtkRecentMenu always returns the most recent item, rather than the selected item, when calling gtk_recent_chooser_get_current_uri()

2012-12-10 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

GtkRecentMenu always returns the most recent item, rather than the
selected item, when calling gtk_recent_chooser_get_current_uri().

I noticed this in some code I was working on and after spending some
time banging my head against it I decided to try and replicate the issue
in some other programs.

To reproduce the problem in MyPaint I took the following actions
1) Open several files with File-Open, so that the File-Open Recent menu has
more than 1 item in it
2) Select an item other than the first (0th) in the File-Open Recent menu

What happens:
The current item remains open.

What I expect to happen:
The selected item is opened.

Changing my code to use gtk_recent_chooser_get_current_item(), rather
than _get_current_uri(), results in the same issue.

[Bug 1087669] Re: Audio Call fails due to linking both gstreamer 0.10 and 1.0

2012-12-10 Thread Iain Lane
Yeah, empathy can't move to 1.0 just yet because that would require
taking new versions of the farstream stack, which has knock-on effects
(a telepathy-farstream transition) that break some other (mainly KDE)
packages.

We should wait some time to get Kubuntu a chance to port their stuff.

In the meantime if you don't need to use any of that stuff then you can
give empathy from ppa:ubuntu-desktop/gstreamer1.0 a try.

So perhaps the proper fix would be showing the option only if

running, if the option is not specific to Unity.

[Bug 1088620] [NEW] heavy memory leak in gnome-mahjongg 3.6.0.2 - LinuxMint Nadia 64bit

2012-12-10 Thread chris_blues
Public bug reported:

When started, gnome-mahjongg uses appr. 0.43 % of my 4GiB of RAM. After making
the first move it begins to claim more memory until it gets killed by Linux
out of memory. It's memory consumption lies at about 5MiB/sec. After some
games this rate rises. It happens all the time. My guess would be the
prediction of possibilities, which leaks somewhere.
I'm running on Linux Mint nadia 64bit (DE Mate)

I hope this is no duplicate, at least I haven't come across this on
launchpad...

Let me know, if any further information is required.

[Bug 841971] Re: Sudoku app does not calculate time to solve properly

2012-12-10 Thread David Jefferson
Confirmed for Xubuntu i386 11.10, 12.04, and 12.10.

Disclaimer: I don't know Python, so I could be way off.
Grepping through gnome-games-3.6.0.2/gnome-sudoku/src/lib/ main.py:152 calls
start_timing() during select_game(). Presumably it should go somewhere after
select_game(), like at the end of make_new_game_model() or setup_dialog() in
game_selector.py?

As you can see it is eating up a whole CPU.

[Bug 1010619] Re: [SRU] Rhythmbox 2.97 and 2.98 freezes with large collection

2012-12-10 Thread AraiBob
I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.10 a couple of weeks ago, and RB has a problem
with my over 45,000 mp3 and flac music directories. I uninstalled it,
waited a day, then installed. It worked the first day, but today, as it
began to read the directories, it froze...

There is no abort, so apport does not report this problem.

When can I get the new version, with the fix described here?

[Bug 969359] Re: [keyboard]: gnome-settings-daemon consumes 100% cpu (and blinking numlock)

2012-12-10 Thread Simon Déziel
@Bruce, see comment #135 on how to enable precise-proposed to install
version 3.4.2-0ubuntu0.6 (note the .6 at the end) that has the fix
included:

gnome-settings-daemon (3.4.2-0ubuntu0.6) precise-proposed; urgency=low

  * debian/patches/git_no_numlock_eating_cpu_loop.patch:
- backport upstream fix for numlock keeps changing state and
gnome-settings-daemon is eating 100% cpu while that's happening

[Bug 1088778] [NEW] Evince menu items do not appear in HUD

2012-12-10 Thread Jeremy Kerr
Public bug reported:

I'd like to switch to/from 'Continuous' (View → Continuous) mode through
the HUD, but it seems like none of Evince's menu items are appearing in
the HUD.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open a file with evince
2) Note that there is a Continuous option in the View menu
3) Hit Alt to bring up the HUD
4) Type Continuous
5) No items appear in the HUD to activate/deactivate continuous mode

Expected behaviour:

5) Continuous option appears in the HUD

Additional info:

The continuous option is missing, in addition to *all* of Evince's menu items
