[Bug 1155460] [NEW] Problem adding email addresses to Contact List

2013-03-15 Thread Leon Arundell
Public bug reported:

I can successfully add email addresses to a Contact List using the
Select ... dialog box.

An apparently simpler way to add an email list is to double-click on the
name of the Contact List, and enter the email in the box labeled Type
an e-mail address or drag a Contact into the list below:

When I add an email addres this way, it appears to add correctly. But
when I re-open the Contact List, I see an entry that consists of garbage
characters. If I try to send an email to such an email list, I get an
error message.

[Bug 1130746] Re: Update to nautilus 3.7.90

2013-03-15 Thread Sebastien Bacher
How is the status on this request ? Is there a chance to see nautilus
3.7 in Raring without PPAs ?

not really, the new GTK still has regressions and didn't made it to
raring, it's a bit late at this point to get those fixed, land it and
get proper testing/fixing of new issues before release. (the new GTK is
needed by the new nautilus).

Even if we get GTK in we would need to update/rewrite some of our
nautilus patches, test the new version, ask for a feature freeze
exception, land it and deal with new bugs it will bring ...

it's wiser to wait next cycle at this point

[Bug 1155717] [NEW] Nautilus ver 3.6.3 does not search recursively

2013-03-15 Thread Rainer Rohde
Public bug reported:

Using the Nautilus search option, the search seems to only look at the
top level of files and folders, it does not, however, descent into each
folder to look for results.

I believe that this is a regression as this worked fine in 12.10.

Thanks.

[Bug 1077415] Re: No recursive search with the simple engine

2013-03-15 Thread Rainer Rohde
Well, in my humble opinion this is a very important feature that's
currently not available to users. For example, I have to look for
documents all the time for work, and Nautilus doesn't descent into
subdirs, and the Unity Dash doesn't find them because I haven't used
those docs in a few days. My workaround for now is to use the find
command from the CLI, which is rather cumbersome

So yes, a quick fix is highly appreciated.

Thanks.
