Hello,
There are probably no encoding profiles in Gstreamer yet. Most applications

 Title:
Using Gstreamer 1.0: Where to get installed audio-formats/media-
   profiles?

Status in “gnome-media” package in Ubuntu:
   New

 Bug description:
   Hello,
Our application uses libgnome-media-profiles-dev to get audio-profiles
 from GConf-registry.
We see these values in gconf-editor:
   system - gstreamer - 0.10 - audio - profiles.

We are now moving to GTK3 and Gstreamer 1.0.
Libgnome-media-profiles library fails when ran with Gstreamer 1.0.

It obvious tries to create gstreamer 1.0 pipelines from Gstreamer 0.10
 profiles!
   And prints:
   (audio-recorder:8810): GStreamer-WARNING **: 0.10-style raw audio caps
are being created. Should be audio/x-raw,format=(string).. now.

   (audio-recorder:8810): GStreamer-WARNING **: 0.10-style raw audio caps
are being created. Should be audio/x-raw,format=(string).. now.

In Gstreamer 1.0, we need to replace audio/x-raw-int and
 audio/x-raw-float with audio/x-raw !
   Eg. see: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Novacut/GStreamer1.0

Anyway, where does GNOME-media put profile-strings for Gstreamer 1.0?
We cannot find them neither in Gconf or Dconf.

   Please respond. Urgent.

   ProblemType: Bug
   DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.10
   Package: libgnome-media-profiles-dev 3.0.0-1build1

[Bug 1157586] Re: Reduced File manager functionality when working with MTP device

2013-03-21 Thread AndreK
Regarding delete:
please check this out, and the comments below:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=696190

That's probably because the backend doesn't support trashing, which is the
Ctrl+Delete action (some distros might have patched that back to use Delete
instead). Shift+Delete triggers the Delete action, and my guess is that will
work too.

[Bug 1056947] Re: Cannot turn on bluetooth after turning it off from the indicator

2013-03-21 Thread Sergey Shnatsel Davidoff
The bug has been observed on elementary OS Luna based on Ubuntu 12.04,
the package version is 1:3.4.2-0ubuntu0.9

elementary ships some patches for the package but they don't affect the
Bluetooth panel. The patches can be found at lp:~elementary-
os/elementaryos/os-patch-gnome-control-center-precise

I'll see if I can confirm the bug on a vanilla 12.04 installation

[Bug 1158223] [NEW] evince prints crop marks

2013-03-21 Thread Dimitri Papadopoulos
Public bug reported:

When printing the attached PDF file crop marks from Adobe Reader on
Windows, it prints nice A4 pages without crop marks.

On Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, evince prints the attached PDF file with crop marks
- and also select A3 paper instead of A4.

The intent of the author was clearly to print without crop marks by
default.

[Bug 1157188] Re: gnome-control-center crashed with SIGSEGV in g_str_hash()

2013-03-21 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
Hi Marcela,

Thanks for your help to make Ubuntu better by reporting this crash.

I have a first quick question: While Ubuntu usually creates users with
id = 1000, it seems from XsessionErrors.txt that the user id is 999.
Does it possibly ring a bell? Can you successfully create and use users
with user id 1000?

I'm not sure that this matters, but I'd appreciate any comment you have.

[Bug 1128492] [NEW] wallpaper not updating

2013-03-21 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Steps:
1. Find a wallpaper image on the web in firefox
2. Right click and choose Set as Desktop Background
3. Log out, notice that it uses the new background in the greeter for that
user, as expected
4. Login again
5. repeat #2 with a different image
6. Log out, note that the backgorund is the background set in #2, not the one
set in #5

I even went and renamed the wallpaper image and put it in my Pictures
directory. Then I set the background image with the settings tool. The
image still did not update in the greeter.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 1156352] Re: rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV

2013-03-21 Thread Sundaravenkataraman
Thanks for your response, I've just updated all packages by running
updates in software center... But still I suffer with the same problem,
as I mentioned in above report...

This crash occurred while tried to change next song in Rhythmbox...
Apart from these this player get hangs often while I resume the song
after period of time. I will always play only MP3 songs only from local
hard drive. I've activated last.fm plugin in rhythmbox.

[Bug 1153188] Re: Urdu with better support: Default Fonts, Kbd Layout

2013-03-21 Thread Shabbir Ahmed
I support this statement,

What if you replace Urdu Nastaliq Unicode with Nafees Nastaleeq?
the answer is yes.

this font should display urdu text even if urdu package is not
installed. There is some default font thats why we can see/read urdu at
least.

Udu Nastaliq Unicode is not well supported, where as Nafees Nastaleeq is
made and supported by some well known institution of pakistan and is an
organization.
