[Bug 253167] Re: Rhythmbox sort by Album Artist for guest/compilations

2013-03-26 Thread Piedro Kulman
Annoying to see that still nobody cares!

It's been 5 years now with this bug with no intent to change it by the
devs - I don't use rhythmbox anymore for two years now.

I cannot understand the decision by Canonical to still feature this program:
it is unflexible, not lightweight in any way, buggy, not well maintained and
devs don't even care to listen to their users!

I will suggest in the Ubuntu boards to drop the program again and
replace it with clementine or guayadeque.

Congratz for 5 years of ignorance,
nice attitude dudes,
thx for reading,
piedro

I also have this problem. While the error doesn't prevent burning, but
you have to click the message to make it go away every time you insert a

[Bug 1160272] [NEW] Cannot add IM account (empty setup dialog)

2013-03-26 Thread Denis Washington
Public bug reported:

Since I upgraded to Raring, I cannot add any IM accounts (such as ICQ or
AIM) in the Ubuntu Online Accounts panel of the System Settings.
Whenever I choose to do so, the dialog for adding credentials is blank,
with just the top cancel/done bar being visible. Clicking on either
of these buttons crashes System Settings.

When running the settings panel from the terminal, the following error
messages can be found:

  * debian/tests/control: Add libpam-systemd dependency for logind test, as
it checks for the mounted cgroup. Mounting that moved into libpam-systemd,
see 198-0ubuntu7.
  * Drop usr/lib/systemd/ from systemd-services, this doesn't belong there and
is already installed into systemd.
  * debian/rules: Call dh_girepository to get correct dependencies of
gir1.2-gudev-1.0.
  * 0016-Add-poweroff-reboot-suspend-hibernate-fallback.patch: Send
PrepareFor{Sleep,Shutdown}() signals with false after the operation
finished. Thanks to Iain Lane for the initial patch! (LP: #1157122)

[Bug 952185] Re: ~/.pam_environment not parsed by default

2013-03-26 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package openssh - 1:6.1p1-4

---
openssh (1:6.1p1-4) experimental; urgency=low

  [ Gunnar Hjalmarsson ]
  * debian/openssh-server.sshd.pam: Explicitly state that ~/.pam_environment
should be read, and move the pam_env calls from auth to session so
that it's also read when $HOME is encrypted (LP: #952185).

  [ Stéphane Graber ]
  * Add ssh-agent upstart user job. This implements something similar to
the 90x11-common_ssh-agent Xsession script. That is, start ssh-agent
and set the appropriate environment variables (closes: #703906).

[Bug 952185] Re: ~/.pam_environment not parsed by default

2013-03-26 Thread Colin Watson
** Description changed:

lightdm precise and gdm precise SRU proposals
  -
  [Impact]
As was originally stated in the bug summary, ~/.pam_environment is not read
at login if $HOME is encrypted. The lightdm (Precise) and gdm (Precise) SRUs
fix that issue.

  [Test Case]
  Steps to reproduce:
  * As a user with an ecryptfs protected $HOME, use language-selector to make
the user language and/or user regional formats differ from the system wide
settings (i.e. ~/.pam_environment != /etc/default/locale).
- * Log out and log in again. Run the locale command from a terminal window,
and you'll find that the output is a result of /etc/default/locale, i.e.
~/.pam_environment was ignored.
+ * Log out and log in again. Run the locale command from a terminal window,
and with the old version you'll find that the output is a result of
/etc/default/locale, i.e. ~/.pam_environment was ignored; with the new version
~/.pam_environment should be honoured.

  [Regression Potential]
  Low.
+
+ openssh precise SRU proposal
+
+ As lightdm/gdm, but log in via an ssh session instead. (This can just be
'ssh localhost'.)

  Previous description

PAM needs to be told explicitly by respective service to parse
~/.pam_environment, since the fix of http://bugs.debian.org/611136 is about to
make it into Raring. Please see comment #29 and #30.

Otherwise the session environment will contain the system wide locale
settings, while the user's locale settings are ignored.

Sorry, my response was about the open bug (which I had the same problem
with). So again, to provide support to the others who ask, How do we
bind our switch workspace up key? You may try this:

$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings switch-to-workspace-up
['ControlAltw']

I didn't test it, but hopefully it works for you.

[Bug 1160514] [NEW] Image of login screen doesn't disappear until starting nautilus

2013-03-26 Thread if.gnu.linux
Public bug reported:

After logging in to Unity session, image of login screen doesn't
disappear until starting nautilus. What I mean when I say image of
login screen is that consider you take picture of login screen and use
that picture as wallpaper. If I open nautilus, that picture disappears.
Let me explain the situation with 2 pictures. The first one[1] was taken
after I log in to session. The second one[2] was taken after I start
nautilus.

What I expected to happen: After logging in Unity session, the dots, the
box on which we write our password should have disappeard.

What actually happened: None of them disappeared.

Steps to produce:

1- Start computer
2- Write down user password to box on Lightdm screen
3- Push enter

[Bug 1160574] [NEW] gvfsd-http crashed with SIGSEGV

2013-03-26 Thread Jason Robinson
Public bug reported:

Plugged in a Galaxy Nexus in fastboot mode and got this crash. Latest
Raring updates.

Also maybe related, cannot flash latest image:

$ phablet-flash -l
error: device not found
Error while executing adb shell getprop ro.cm.device
Make sure the device is connected and viewable by running 'adb devices'
Ensure you have a root device, one which running 'adb root' does not return an
error

--

But phone is connected, also tried booting in to existing Ubuntu Touch
image on it but not found that way either.

[Bug 958188] Re: SMART causes SSD to die with unhandled error code

2013-03-26 Thread Christian Mertes
I'm getting the exact same errors with a Crucial SSD (M4-CT064M4SSD2).
It happens spontaneously as far as I can see and I can't even shut down
the machine anymore. After a hard shutoff and rebooting, everything
works fine again. Until the next event. SMART doesn't show any problems
but I haven't tried if it causes them yet. I didn't see that connection
so far.

[Bug 1160597] [NEW] Crash on right click

2013-03-26 Thread EricDHH
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 12.10
Release:12.10
ii nautilus 1:3.5.90.rea amd64

To eject a cd, dvd, usb stick or else we have to right click on the
desktop symbol. Doing so, pops up the eject menu, then whole nautilus
crash and redraw everything. The menu closes by this restart, so you
have to right click again.

In earlier versions one right click was enough and nautilus has not
crashed.

[Bug 209513] Re: After upgrade, Update standard folders to current language threatens to rename your home folder

2013-03-26 Thread trusktr
This just happened to me after rebooting. The dialog asks me to change
/home/trusktr to /home/trusktr/Templates.

Before reboot, I had deleted the Templates folder because it was empty.
I guess it noticed, and I proceeded with it's suggestion, which re-
created the Templates folder. You will probably get a similar message if
you delete Pictures, Videos, Downloads, etc.

[Bug 898087] Re: Keyboard shortcuts set in Gnome Control Center - Keyboard do not have affect if those same shortcuts are set in Compiz

Still not working in Ubuntu 12.04 or 13.04. Following steps of bug
reporter above still results in the same fail case.

This bug was first reported back in 2009 (see duplicates). It is a
shame it has taken so long to properly fix.
