[Bug 1188920] [NEW] evolution sometimes does not mark message as read

2013-06-08 Thread Alexander Klauer
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu release:
Description:Ubuntu 13.04
Release:13.04

Package version:
evolution:
  Installed: 3.6.4-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 3.6.4-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 3.6.4-0ubuntu1 0
500 http://de.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ raring/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

What I expected to happen:
In Edit→Preferences→Mail Preferences I have checked Mark messages as read
after 0.0 seconds, so I expect a message to be marked as read immediately once
it's displayed.

What happened instead
When I click on an unread message (displayed in bold face text), it is
sometimes not marked as read. This happens with maybe every fifth message or
so, sometimes more often. I haven't really been able to discern when it happens
and when not, it appears to be random.

** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu)
 Importance: Undecided
 Status: New

2013-06-08 Thread Alastair Gilfillan
I'm using libmp3lame under 13.04 amd64 but this dosn't seem to be
Rhythmbox-specific. As stated, it affects Nautilus as well.

* avconv -i *.mp3 also does **not** list year, if it ever did
* id3v2 -l *.mp3 displays `year` and all other fields (as does tagging software
like Puddletag)

[Bug 969359] Re: [keyboard]: gnome-settings-daemon consumes 100% cpu (and blinking numlock)

2013-06-08 Thread Paul Olaru
To me it happened once, after other bugs:
1. Used extensively (GPARTED=100%), crashed gnome-shell (wasn't answering, I
guess the kernel or something else killed it)
2. Attempted to log back in (had to do SYSRQ+K to logout), got forced in
gnome-classic (however having my icon theme)
3. Rebooted, nothing else, and 100%. This made me kill it, but...
4. Lost icon themes and etc. I tried to restart it and succeded after many
attempts.
And I guess it handles the keyboard too, since the LEDs weren't working as I
configured them but rather had default behaviour...

[Bug 1188970] [NEW] mouse pointer shows wait icon repetitively while leaking memory

2013-06-08 Thread Alistair Buxton
Public bug reported:

After some extended use (eg 2 hours of continuous use of filters,
eraser, drawing, multiple layers) gimp starts leaking around 3MB memory
per second. It allocates large amounts of memory repetitively with close
to 1 second interval. Each time it does this the mouse pointer turns in
to the wait symbol. It is still possible to use the program while this
happens but the pointer constantly flickering is a bit distracting.

However, if ignored, gimp will eventually consume all system memory in a
very short amount of time. I have 16 GB and gimp has been OOM killed
twice today after showing the behaviour for an extended period. The
second time it happened while I was working in a different application.

Here is a video showing the behaviour:

[Bug 684524] Re: Jovie Has No Launcher in the GNOME menu After Installation

2013-06-08 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Pino, maybe the Debian GNOME maintainers go a bit too far by
blacklisting KDE apps but the KDE maintainers have show no interest in
correctly using the NotShowIn=GNOME; values for basic apps like
Calculator, System Monitor, etc.

Anyway Ubuntu currently disables that blacklist so I'm going to go ahead
and close this bug since it's not a gnome-menus issue in Ubuntu.

[Bug 1188346] Re: fills $HOME/.cache/gdm/session.log

2013-06-08 Thread Yogu
I've got the same error, but with a different file number:

(rhythmbox-metadata:8136): GStreamer-CRITICAL **:
gst_bus_timed_pop_filtered: assertion `timeout == 0 || bus-priv-poll
!= NULL' failed

lsb_release and apt-cache information exactly as in description.

I don't know if this is releated, but this error occured while I tried
to import my library from an NTFS drive, and that imported the whole
file system instead of the folder I selected.

[Bug 924311] Re: drop-down menu lists too short

2013-06-08 Thread Jeremy Bicha
This looks like a problem with your theme or font settings.

Nothing in the gnome-menus package is responsible for the actual drawing
of menu items so I'm closing this bug.
