[Bug 1191784] [NEW] rhythmbox playback stops after dragging song-position slider
Public bug reported: Not sure this is a gstreamer problem, but that was chosen by ubuntu-bug. Steps to reproduce: 1. I have a play queue set up. 2. While playing a song, I use the song-position slider to move within the track. 3. That track finishes playing, and the next track is selected. 4. The new track plays a short (sub-second) fragment, then playback stops. I can resume playback of this track by dragging the song-position slider to the left or to the right (I think I have to move it more than one second to the right though). However, the next track will have the same problem. I can resume correct playback of all tracks in the play queue by stopping and restarting rhythmbox. [Bug 1192002] [NEW] Menu config file merges menus from standard locations too soon so defaults override merges.
Public bug reported: Merged files from /etc/xdg/menus/applications-merged/ or the user's home directory are supposed to be able to override the default file settings. According to the freedesktop standard the merge files should therefore be read in last. However, the DefaultMergeDirs/ element is at the top of /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu and so the default overrides the merge. The best way to test this is with a layout portion in the merge file. The DefaultMergeDirs/ should be the last entry before the last /Menu. This bug breaks packages that add files to /etc/xdg/menus/applications- merged/ directory like ubuntustudio-menu and menu editors such as alacarte (this is not a full list, just examples) and it breaks the freedesktop standard as well. [Bug 1191585] Re: Crash when exporting photos to a directory
Thanks for the stack trace, that goes a long way toward finding the problem. One question: if you run Shotwell from the console and reproduce the problem, do you see a message displayed on the console, something like raw pixbuf for filename could not be loaded? ** Changed in: shotwell (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shotwell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1191585 Title: Crash when exporting photos to a directory To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1191585/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1192020] [NEW] Nautilus' file copy dialog cannot be opened again after closing because it does not use the app indicator system
Public bug reported: In 12.10 and before, when you copy files in Nautilus, a window title File Operations will open to show you the progress, and to offer a button to stop the operation. You could close this window by clicking on the X and an icon will pop up in the system tray notifying you that the file copy operation is still ongoing. If you clicked on it, the File Operations window will reopen. In 13.04, due to Ubuntu removing the system tray whitelist, once you close the File Operations window, you can't open it again because the icon no longer shows up in system tray as it probably doesn't use the app indicator system. This means if you close the window, you can no longer cancel the copy operation and have to wait for it to complete. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1192020 Title: Nautilus' file copy dialog cannot be opened again after closing because it does not use the app indicator system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1192020/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1192021] [NEW] Mouse and touchpad settings not recalled after logging out and then logging in again
Public bug reported: Under Ubuntu 13.04, I'm finding I can change mouse and touchpad speed settings using the Settings Window (System Settings Mouse and Touchpad). These changes are retained after closing the Settings Window. However, the changes to the settings are NOT SHOWN on re-opening the Settings Window. Instead, the default values are shown. More importantly, the changes are not retained after logging out. When I log in again, the settings have returned to their default values. I experimented with changing mouse speed settings using xinput, and found, similarly, that these changes affected the current session but weren't retained for future sessions. A similar problem is reported under Bug #1176035, and I will likely append this bug to that report. However, that user reports (perhaps mistakenly?) that changes to mouse speed settings are not retained after closing the Settings Window. [Bug 1092719] Re: Update to 3.8
It turns out that this also won't build without gnome-settings-daemon =3.8. In case the eventual libdvdread MIR fails, I also tried to revert https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-disk-utility/commit/?id=cb3afaea Because I didn't have gnome-settings-daemon 3.8 installed here I didn't make sure it builds with the revert patch or still works.
