[Bug 1193522] Re: nautilus crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_action_get_name()

2013-08-23 Thread Minoru Yanagisawa
I removed 'dropbox_1.6.0_amd64.deb' and reinstall from source file
'nautilus-dropbox-1.4.0.tar.bz2' downloaded from Dropbox site. Then I can have
accessed files in Dropbox folder without any crash.
Somehow I can see Dropbox icon on main Ubuntu bar upper-right side, different
from Stoimenov's case.

I'm using Ubuntu Saucy Salamander (development branch), 3.11.0-3 x86_64
kernel and GNOME nautilus 3.8.2.

[Bug 1215826] [NEW] Lost ability to remap Caps Lock to Ctrl

2013-08-23 Thread David Leal
Public bug reported:

After the last update (today) I am no longer able to remap Caps Lock to
Ctrl. I tried to set XKBOPTIONS in /etc/default/keyboard but that only
seems to work for a few brief seconds. The same happens if I invoke
setxkbmap -option ctrl:nocaps on the console. It works for a few
seconds, then Caps Lock reverts to its Caps Lock-y behavior.

[Bug 984785] Re: .goutputstream files polluting $HOME

2013-08-23 Thread Mike
Same trouble here.

Win7(Host) running VirtualBox 4.2.16
Linux Mint 14 Nadia Kernel 3.5.0-17-generic(i686) (Guest)

Guest applications Geany(1.22), Pluma(1.4.0), and Gedit (2.30.4) cannot save to
existing file.
Must create new file for each save on the Vbox shared folder. Other
local(guest) folders work fine.

Did not start until Virtualbox updated to 4.2.16 no problems with setup
before that.

Attempting to save an existing file with modifications results in files with
names like (.goutputstream-0ZD71W) etc. and warnings that the file may have
been truncated.

Two solutions I have found so far are:
1.) save-as a new file name each time I make a change. (terrible)
2.) open a terminal session in that folder and use nano or vi to edit text
file. (no problems)

So it seems that the drive mount for the shared folder is ok as nano
can edit files, but the gui apps have an issue.

[Bug 1215952] [NEW] nautilus uses 100% cpu and system shuts down

2013-08-23 Thread Greg Starr
Public bug reported:

Nautilus quickly climbs to 100% cpu usage upon login and after opening.
Causes my system to shut down completely. I have a large collection of
music, pictures and videos that are symlinked to my home folder.
Although this should not cause any problems, it does. Killall nautilus
works fine but cpu goes to 100% after opening nautilus again. This only
seems to be an issue running nautilus as a user. Opening nautilus as a
root user (gksudo nautilus) works fine.

[Bug 1142947] Re: webkit--epiphany-browser crashed with SIGSEGV in Decoder()

2013-08-23 Thread Brian Murray
I'm really sorry about my delay in getting back to this. I've recreated
the crash in Saucy and it is in bug 1216158. The youtube video did not
cause a crash, but just going to http://ubuntuonair.com and watching the
charm school video did.

[Bug 1215734] Re: GDM ignores keyboard input in lock screen

2013-08-23 Thread Nathan Osman
After some further investigation, it appears that the keyboard input is
actually captured by the application running in the foreground behind
GDM. So if I leave a text editor open, lock the display, come back later
and try to enter my password, whatever I type on the keyboard is entered
into the text editor and not the password entry box in GDM.

[Bug 1142511] Re: Calendar Authentication requests password in Ubuntu 12.10

2013-08-23 Thread Scott
This is extremely annoying. I can't seen to find anything about this on the
web. Searching google for:
ubuntu calendar authentication request leads to only this bug report...

Is there anything I can do? I think I know what caused this. I used to
have the calendar webapp (in 12.04) and then decided to stop using it.
I also turned on the gmail settings for two-step verification.
Immediately after doing that, I started to get this pop-up every single
time I restart my computer! Very annoying.

Even after upgrading to 12.10, this still happens. I even went and re-
installed the webapp and connected using the two step verification, but
this pop-up still persists...
