[Bug 1251562] [NEW] eog gives wrong error message for missing file

2013-11-15 Thread Lars Noodén
Public bug reported:

If eog is fed a missing file, it reports that no images were found in
the file, rather than that the file itself is missing. This happens
every time eog is fed a missing file via the shell, but only via the
shell not the menus.

Say the file /home/user/Pictures/foo.jpeg does not exist but eog is
launched in the shell using eog /home/user/Pictures/foo.jpeg it will
produce the error below:

 No images found in file:///home/user/Pictures/foo.jpeg

It should report that the file is not found instead of implying that the
file exists but does not contain image data.

[Bug 1251585] [NEW] Backspace doesn't work in nautilus

2013-11-15 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

Going up one level with a keyboard is an essential part of any file

but it would be nice to be able to use Nautilus when sometimes it gives
getter features.

missing debugging information. I'll try to investigate anyway; it looks

Re: [Bug 1131664] Re: The default apps should have standard menubars under Unity

2013-11-15 Thread bluedxca93
Problem for evince under cinnamon is located in set_widget_visibility
(priv-toolbar, toolbar); . Normally the appmenu is loaded instead of
the menubar, removing this one line and to delete the appmenu.ui
builder command from code fix the problem temporarily with compiler
warnings.

[Bug 1225629] Re: shotwell crashed with SIGSEGV in publishing_accounts_uoa_publisher_authenticator_on_processed()

2013-11-15 Thread Alberto Mardegan
Hi! I tried to reproduce this bug, but with no luck. Philip (and others who can
reproduce this), can you please give me some more information about when this
precisely happens? Is it consistently reproducible? Does it happen when you
click on Login, or before that?
If you can reproduce it reliably, can you please try reproducing it after
settings the following environment variables:

export SHOTWELL_LOG=1
export G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all

Then you'll find the logs in ~/.cache/shotwell/shotwell.log

Incidentally, I found an issue in libsignon-glib while reproducing this bug,
but I don't think it's the cause of this:

Got the message:

2013-11-15 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when
trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following
command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:

sudo apt-get clean

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your
issue, but the failure could be caused by filesystem or memory
corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a
memory test. Thanks in advance!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

Thank you. Your instructions have fixed the problem.

First I executed

/sudo apt-get clean/

Then I ran the software updater. It failed again:

The package system is broken

If you are using third party repositories then disable them, since
they are a common source of problems.
Now run the following command in a terminal: apt-get install -f

Details:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:

But this time when I ran /apt-get install -f/ the problem was fixed:
