[Bug 1264489] [NEW] UI crashes then typing a '1' in the passphrase field

2013-12-27 Thread Nestwiderhaken
Public bug reported:

I was creating an encrypted partition using gnome-disk-utility
3.6.1-0ubuntu1_amd64. Typing a '1' sign in the passphrase field (not the
confirmation passphrase) crashes the UI. It was reproducable using the
'1' at different positions in the passphrase.

[Bug 913200] Re: nautilus does not recognized that a DVD is already ejected with hardware ejection

2013-12-27 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Sasa Paporovic, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p linux replace-with-bug-number

If reproducible, could you also please test the latest upstream kernel
available (not the daily folder) following
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional
upstream developers to examine the issue. Once you've tested the upstream
kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this
bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags:
kernel-fixed-upstream
kernel-fixed-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

where VERSION-NUMBER is the version number of the kernel you tested. For
example:
kernel-fixed-upstream-v3.13-rc5

This can be done by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon next
to the word Tags located at the bottom of the bug description. As well, please
remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags:
kernel-bug-exists-upstream
kernel-bug-exists-upstream-VERSION-NUMBER

As well, please remove the tag:
needs-upstream-testing

Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's
Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your
understanding.

Still affects me in Ubuntu 13.10 with Evinence 3.10 and with a Brother

As far as I can see there may be a problem in LibreOffice v 4.1 generating a

I've other pdf's which are working great, generated with libreOffice v.4.1.3.2.

I'm sorry that I cannot attach the pdf because there are to much

[Bug 1264100] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Nautilus view preferences not working

2013-12-27 Thread LaunchPadGirl
** Description changed:

Ubuntu 12.04 x64, when opening the Natuilus preferences for View many of
  the options are not working.

I've only been able to make Natuilus change the icon sizes or style one
time when I first tried this on a clean, new install of 12.04, after
making one change to increase the size of the icon view from 100% to
150%, then none of the view options under the preferences would work
again, they only worked one time...

The only way I can change the icons and size now is under the View
section of the menu, under the Edit - Preferences they no longer work

  Here are the steps;

  1. Edit - Preferences - Views

  Here are the steps;

  1. Edit - Preferences - Views

  2. Default View - View New folders using; Drop down for the 3 choices
  not working

  3. Icon View Defaults - Default zoom level; Doesn't change icon sizes

  4. Compact View Defaults - Default zoom level; Doesn't change icon sizes

[Bug 1264100] Re: Ubuntu 12.04 Nautilus view preferences not working

2013-12-27 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
LaunchPadGirl, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better.
Please execute the following command, as it will automatically gather debugging
information, in a terminal:
apport-collect BUGNUMBER
When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-bug' and
the name of the package affected. Please do not make folks dumpster dive
through other reports for this information, as suggested in your Bug
Description. For more on this, please see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs
.

[Bug 1244338] Re: External tool won't run if Save is set to All documents

2013-12-27 Thread and...@drup.org
I'm getting exactly the problem that Kris reports above.
It seems that there is an inversion in the logic: If the document has *not*
changed, then it saves it. If it has changed then it does not get saved.

[Bug 1013171] Re: Many package hooks not ported to python3

2013-12-27 Thread Edward Donovan
This report was already getting too big for Launchpad to handle quickly,
and is all marked fixed. In these cases I'm usually advised to leave
the closed report as it is, and handle the new occurrence with the new
bug. You can certainly put a link to this bug, there, for informational
purposes. Maybe I can get to that.

Thanks!

Just run bluez-simple-agent (terminal or Alt + F2) then you will be able send
files.
It is better to add this in startup applications.

[Bug 1180513] Re: lid close actions are ignored laptop always suspends

I'm on gnome-settings-daemon 3.8.5-0ubuntu11.1 and this is still broken
for me.

I have it set to do nothing on lid close, but it still tries to suspend.

[Bug 1180513] Re: lid close actions are ignored laptop always suspends

2013-12-27 Thread Phil Dibowitz
*sigh* I figured it out.

I'm using fluxbox, so gnome-settings-daemon doesn't start by default,
but gnome-control-panel still *appears* to work.

I added gnome-settings-daemon to my ~/.fluxbox/startup file and now
it all works as expected.
