a regression introduced this patch (I'm seeing the same issue with prior

2014-02-12 Thread Attila Hammer
Lars, one last question:
With CTRL+HOME, CTRL+END, pageup and pagedown navigation keys related enough to
fill a bugreport in Launchpad, or better to doing an upstream report?
Ubuntu level possible fixing this last reported issue, or need an upstream fix
with Evince development release?
Unfortunately Evince 3.10.3 release not will be getting maintenance related fix
with upstream level.

[Bug 1279380] [NEW] [14.04] [Gnome-Settings-Daemon] unable to save default audio output device

2014-02-12 Thread Manoj Iyer
Public bug reported:

When more than one audio output source are available, gnome-settings
usually picks the 1st one on the list. There is no way to save any
alternate choice. For example I have:

HDMI/DisplayPort2 Built-in Audio
Digital Output (S/PDIF) Built-in Audio
Analog Output Built-in Audio.

The default output each time the system boots is set to
HDMI/DisplayPort2 Built-in Audio and I have to manually change it to
Analog Output Built-in Audio to which my PC speakers are connected.
There is no save this as default option on this screen. So, I have do

[Bug 1279387] [NEW] CTRL+HOME, CTRL+END, CTRL+SHIFT+HOME, CTRL+SHIFT+END, PAGEUP, PAGEDOWN keys doesn't doing proper cursor movement operation if caret navigation feature enabled

2014-02-12 Thread Attila Hammer
Public bug reported:

Dear Developers,

If Evince 3.10.3 version the caret navigation support is enabled (require this
if a visually impaired user want reading a PDF file with screen reader
support), CTRL+HOME, CTRL+END, CTRL+SHIFT+HOME, CTRL+SHIFT+END, PAGEUP,
PAGEDOWN keys doesn't doing proper cursor movement operation.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Launch evince, and opening a PDF file.
2. Press F7 key to enable caret navigation support, the popup dialog click
enable button.
After this, normal arrow keys doing proper cursor movement operations,
SHIFT+ARROW keys doing normal selection operations, CTRL+SHIFT+ARROW keys
selecting the proper direction of the text (word, paragraph).
3. Try pressing CTRL+HOME, CTRL+END, CTRL+SHIFT+HOME, CTRL+SHIFT+END, PAGEUP,
PAGEDOWN keystrokes.
Expected result if caret navigation support enabled: happening the proper
cursor movement operation. CTRL+HOME jumps top of the document, CTRL+END jumps
end of the document, pageup switch I think one page back, PAGEDOWN switch next
page. CTRL+SHIFT+HOME need selecting from actual cursor position to top of the
document, CTRL+SHIFT+END need selecting from cursor position to the end of the
document.
Actual result: this keystrokes nothing doing.

If PAGEUP and PAGEDOWN related not possible goto the next or previous
page, enough to large parts scrolling the caret.

[Bug 118988] Re: No way to disable trash in nautilus

2014-02-12 Thread Narcis Garcia
A workaround for each place, already mentioned:

1. Invoke trash creation, deleting something.
2. Show hidden elements in folder, to trash folder be shown, for example, with
the name .Trash-1000
3. Remove permanently this folder
4. Create a regular file with the same name as removed folder had.

This will not allow move to trash. The only thing to add is to make
Delete key to remove permanently by default. I've tried to edit
~/.gnome2/accels/nautilus but don't find it in Ubuntu 13.10

The issue there seems to be that the gnome-settings-daemon power plugin

[Bug 1164939] Re: Google Talk account in empathy refuses to sign in

2014-02-12 Thread Jon Wilson
About every two weeks, both of my google accounts are no longer signed
into Empathy, and Empathy presents the usual message Google Talk
account requires authorisation along with a button that opens the
online accounts settings manager. Neither of the Google accounts
provides any way to grant authorisation. The only thing I've found that
works is to delete the account and create a new Google account to
replace it. That account will then function properly for about two
weeks, at which point the cycle begins again.

This has been going on for ages. This bug report has been open for 10
months with no apparent progress towards a fix. Please fix it.
