[Bug 1285258] [NEW] failing to unlock screensaver
Public bug reported: There seem to be two distinct errors when unlocking gnome-screensaver. Both prevents you from logging in. The first is the most serious. 1) When I move the mouse, the lock screen appears. Whatever I type it only activates the top right menu. I'm completely unable to login. [Bug 1283615] Re: unity-greeter ignores user monitor configuration
** Description changed: + This is actually a bug in unity-settings-daemon and gnome-settings- + daemon. To reproduce: + + 1. Have Nvidia multimonitor layout. + 2. Position the monitors however you want. + 3. Run g-s-d or u-s-d. + + Expected result: Monitor layout does not change. + + Actual result: Monitor layout is reset to default. + + Original description: + To reproduce: 1. Have a multimonitor set up with nvidia 2. Position the monitors however you like. 3. Save the positions to xorg.conf 4. Log out Expected result: the configured monitor positions are used at the login screen. Actual result: the monitor positions are all reset to default, and this configuration persists past login, forcing the user to reconfigure monitor positioning after each login. Impact: When I boot up my computer with unity-greeter I see what is shown in the photo, regardless of how I attempt to configure the monitor layout. This bug does not affect lightdm-gtk-greeter or lightdm-webkit-greeter, which both correctly honour the Xorg configuration. This is also a regression, unity-greeter honoured the layout in 13.10. [Bug 1285345] [NEW] Visualizations don't work well with dual-screen
Public bug reported: Hi There is a bug when you're listening music with Totem and want visualizations in full screen if you're on a dual screen setup : - What happenned : Visualisation format is very large an not very high. It like if it added the two resolutions of the screens. But if you go full screen, it covers only one screen. So you have a band of color, with two black bands up and down (and probably on each side if your monitors are configured up/down). This is not full screen. - What I expected : I expected my full screen visualisation to fill all my screen (the one I made the visualisation full screened, the projector in my case), not having only a band - How to reproduce : Simple : In a mono-screen config, play an audio file with totem and visualisations activated. Make vusalisation full-screen. Then do the same thing with dual-screen. You understand immediately the problem (easy to see on the attached screenshot) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 Package: totem 3.8.2-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-17.31-generic 3.11.10.3 Uname: Linux 3.11.0-17-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.12.5-0ubuntu2.2 Architecture: amd64 Date: Wed Feb 26 21:22:49 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-01-12 (45 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander - Release amd64 (20131016.1) MarkForUpload: True ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=fr_FR PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=set LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: totem UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug saucy ** Attachment added: Screen shot with fullscreen visualisation problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1285345/+attachment/3998280/+files/Dual%20screen%20visualisation%20problem.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1285345 Title: Visualizations don't work well with dual-screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/1285345/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
