[Bug 1300642] Crash report cannot be processed

2014-04-01 Thread Apport retracing service
Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

libgl1-mesa-glx version 10.2~git1403250730.7683fc~gd~t required, but
10.1.0-1ubuntu1 is available
libglapi-mesa version 10.2~git1403250730.7683fc~gd~t required, but
10.1.0-1ubuntu1 is available
gnome-desktop3-data version 3.10.2-0ubuntu1~trusty1 required, but
3.8.4-0ubuntu3 is available
libgl1-mesa-dri version 10.2~git1403250730.7683fc~gd~t required, but
10.1.0-1ubuntu1 is available

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

[Bug 1218322] Re: Can't set keyboard layout change to alt+shift, ctrl+shift, etc.

2014-04-01 Thread Kom-Si
@Norbert I also clean-installed 14.04 beta 2. Keyboard layout switching
doesn't work in lock screen after wake up from suspend (I use Shift+Alt
L combination). In 13.10 I still could change the layout using mouse,
but in 14.04 that didn't work. As a workaround I pressed 'switch user'
and the layout switched also (to default 'En').

[Bug 1300308] Re: select items matching (ctrl+s) only selects one file

2014-04-01 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 342371] Re: reply-all always includes self

2014-04-01 Thread WickedMonkey
This bug has affected me for years through at least two different
versions of Evolution. I am currently on version 3.4.4 (the previous
version was whatever came with Ubuntu 10.04). I can supply step-by-step
screenshots if required. This is what happens:

1. I receive an email addressed to me (and possibly other people as well --
makes no difference)
2. I hit 'Reply to all'
3. My own email address appears in the 'To' field of the new email

Extremely annoying bug and looks unprofessional to those who see that
I've CC'd myself.

Thanks,

David.

Evolution checks against the email address of the account and doesn't

2014-04-01 Thread Raphael Mankin
I suspect that this is a duplicate of 1010349 and 1292166

I also suspect that the problem is that evolution is starting before the
keyring is unlocked. When the keyring is unlocked e-addressbook-server

the problem.

Ok, checked more; color me less happy.

Definitely the layout switch does not work after suspend in the lock
screen. Hope you all people have password that can be typed in all
layouts, otherwise...

Also, with more than two layouts, the switch with the keys happens only
between two of them. The third one is accessible only via the applet
menu.

Sigh. This is the never ending story.

[Bug 1299784] Re: Alt+F2 run dialog not available any more

2014-04-01 Thread Oliver Gerlich
Tried unity-control-center, gnome-control-center and gnome-control-
center.real. The last one doesn't even show a Keyboard item; the other
ones have the Keyboard item but in Keyboard - Shortcuts - System there
is no item for configuring the Run Dialog shortcut.

Btw. I noticed that /usr/bin/gnome-control-center checks the
$XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP env var; but interestingly it's always set to
Unity, no matter whether I start Gnome Flashback (Metacity), Gnome
Flashback (Compiz) or Unity. Is that intended?

2014-04-01 Thread Tim
Public bug reported:

[Bug 1301083] [NEW] Drag and Drop File Auto Opens Folders

2014-04-01 Thread Jay Mac
Public bug reported:

When dragging and dropping a file, if the mouse hovers over a folder for

[Bug 1292041] Re: Lockscreen doesn't turn off the screen

2014-04-01 Thread Robert Ancell
I think I have a handle on what is occurring here.

1. The idle timeout occurs (in X?) and is detected by GNOME Session. This
causes the status on org.gnome.SessionManager
/org/gnome/SessionManager/Presence to change from 0 (active) to 3 (idle).
2. This is detected in GNOME Screensaver and triggers the screensaver to
activate
3. GNOME Screensaver fades out the screen and shows a lock dialog
4. GNOME ScreenSaver exports it is active on D-Bus and emits ActiveChanged
5. GNOME Settings Daemon (power module) picks this up and does the screen blank.

I *think* what is happening is because we intercept step 3 to show GNOME
screensaver showing if we are using the Unity lock screen then the
ActiveChanged signal is not being generated and picked up by GNOME
Settings Daemon.

Notes:
You can set the idle timeout to 1s for testing with the following command:
$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.session idle-delay 1

[Bug 1292041] Re: Lockscreen doesn't turn off the screen

2014-04-01 Thread Robert Ancell
You can confirm the ActiveChanged signal is not being emitted by GNOME
Screensaver by doing the following:
$ gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.session idle-delay 1
$ gdbus monitor --session --dest org.gnome.ScreenSaver

If you wait for one second and then the fade to complete you will see
the ActiveChanged signal when the monitor blanks. If you lock the screen
first with alt+ctrl+L you don't see any fade or signal.

[Bug 1292041] Re: Lockscreen doesn't turn off the screen

2014-04-01 Thread Robert Ancell
I wasn't able to work out how to fix it today but the bug seems to be in
gnome-screensaver debian/patches/33_unity_lockscreen_on_lock.patch in
the gs_listener_set_active () functions that were added. This must be
set to TRUE when the Unity screen lock is active to make gnome-settings-
daemon do the screen blank.

We really need to kill gnome-screensaver entirely and just have Unity
listen to GNOME Session and provide the GNOME screensaver interface.
