[Bug 1325273] Re: Samsung Note II does not mount as drives after upgrade to 14.04

[Bug 1283003] Re: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates
@David Henningsson Hi David, Have installed the new bluemantest from the ppa and for me it works. Thank you. It works in the same way that editing the Pulseaudio.py file worked as specified by Hartmut. I.e. there are quirks (specified in post #81) to navigate to actually get the sound routed to the headphones, it's not simply a case of connecting the headphones and everything else is seamless. In particular, i) even after pairing/trusting the headphones in blueman I couldn't select the A2DP profile (pulseaudio[1926]: [pulseaudio] module-bluetooth-device.c: Profile not connected, refused to switch profile to a2dp; pulseaudio[1926]: [pulseaudio] module-bluetooth-device.c: Default profile not connected, selecting off profile) until I ran Setup for the headset in blueman ii) had to manually select the headset in Sound Settings iii) selecting the headset (Output tab) in Sound Settings caused A2DP to switch Off iv) switching A2DP back on in blueman showed A2DP assigned in Sound Settings (Output tab) UNTIL I went into the Input tab to select the headphones there and then A2DP dropped out in the Output tab. Selecting A2DP after the headset was selected in both Output and Input tabs allowed things to work as required. @Kiori Indeed. In my case the irony is that without blueman (which I originally didn't have installed) I couldn't get the headset to work at all. So despite blueman having problems of its own it has actually helped to resolve my problem to the extent where I can actually use the headset albeit by going around the houses. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-bluetooth in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1283003 Title: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/blueman/+bug/1283003/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 501601] Re: Bash in gnome-terminal shows control characters as unsupported-unicode squares
The annoying thing for me is not that these characters are represented, but that they ignore the character grid. If I run, for x in `seq 1 31`;do echo -e $x-\\x$(printf %x $x)=;done it should print the character code, followed by a minus, followed by a representation of the character code, followed by an equals sign -- except when the character code tells the cursor to jump around or delete stuff. On the linux console, and in plain old xterm, the non-moving characters print are invisible and take up no space. In xfce4-terminal, they print as little squares but stay within their assigned box. In gnome terminal, as in the attached picture, they encroach over the following character, so that you can't read it. This is annoying, because it means you can't look at files that e.g. use the field separator codes (28-31) as field separators. ** Attachment added: Image showing many control characters misbehaving https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/501601/+attachment/4134902/+files/gnome-terminal.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/501601 Title: Bash in gnome-terminal shows control characters as unsupported-unicode squares To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/501601/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1287341] Re: Touchscreen controls both screens in dual-monitor setup
This bug was fixed in the package unity-settings-daemon - 14.04.0+14.04.20140606-0ubuntu1 --- unity-settings-daemon (14.04.0+14.04.20140606-0ubuntu1) trusty; urgency=medium [ Alberto Milone ] * gsd-xrandr-manager.c: - Add support for mapping the main touchscreen onto the laptop display (LP: #1287341). This makes sure that the input device knows exactly the area that represents the display when the screen configuration changes. Note: this doesn't cover the tablet use case. - Add support for matching displays with touch input devices according to the reported size. This is particularly useful on systems that don't use embedded display connectors i.e. all-in-one systems such as the Dell Optiplex 9030 AIO. - This work is a partial backport of the upstream work on touchscreens. When we finally sync with the upstream code we can drop this. -- Ubuntu daily release ps-jenk...@lists.canonical.com Fri, 06 Jun 2014 14:39:15 + ** Changed in: unity-settings-daemon (Ubuntu Trusty) Status: Fix Committed = Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1287341 Title: Touchscreen controls both screens in dual-monitor setup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1287341/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1242678] Re: evince cannot render some EPS files
Hello epii, or anyone else affected, Accepted libspectre into trusty-proposed.
