[Bug 1346984] [NEW] file folders drag from file-roller to pcmanfm hangs external keyboard and mouse clicks
Public bug reported: Hi, this bug is reproduceable on my Lenovo Y470 notebook. I am using this kernel with daily updates installed. Linux alexia-pc 3.13.0-32-generic #57-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 15 03:51:08 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux I am using a external usb keyboard connected to the notebook. My action is to select multiple files/folders from any zip file opened using Archive Manager (version 3.10.2.1), mouse drag the items out to a folder open under pcmanfm (version 1.2.0). if i mouse release drop the items at the pcmanfm white zone then it works ok, but, if i mouse drag the items across the pcmanfm side-pan and then release the mouse at the white zone, the external keyboard and mouse click will locked up, and the mouse pointer will change to a closed fist with a chain, at this point sometime only the notebook keyboard is partially working. And there is no way for me to get out of this situation, sometime i need to force power button shutdown, other time i still can do normal shutdown from the notebook keyboard which only some keys are still working (up down left right arrow buttons are not working). Please see if this is truely a bug that can be fixed in either in pcmanfm or/and file-roller or somewhere else. Thank you. [Bug 1081019] Re: Benchmark for Harddisk fail
I also have this problem with 3.10.0-1ubuntu3 in Ubuntu 14.04 / Mint 17. Like Darek in comment #17 I have an amd64 PC (AMD Athlon 64 X2) but use a i386 kernel and libs. If I benchmark a small partition at the beginning of a disk or SSD then the read/write tests end succesfully, and the error occurs as soon as the access time benchmark starts. [Bug 1133477] Re: cut-n-paste move files got stuck forever
This shouldn't have been marked as incomplete. All the tests #7 asks to do he can do himself unless he has tried and been unable to reproduce the issue. If #7 provided enough instructions for the affected users (i.e. us) to produce the needed information, we could do that, but I don't know what a gcore/bt dump is and I'm not going to read man pages just to figure out what we're being asked to do. Please provide commands to copy and paste. Same for check top o/p. Now, to answer the only question that I can answer, i.e. second question in #7, yes, all local in my case. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: Expired = Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1133477 Title: cut-n-paste move files got stuck forever To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1133477/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1347321] [NEW] Blurred fonts in GtkPopover under Unity

[Bug 1347366] [NEW] gnome-control-center display 'Move gnome-panel' doesn't work
Public bug reported: I have a setup of a laptop with two screens, one in landscape mode, one in portrait mode. When I connect the two screens, the gnome-panel goes to one of them (in the few days I've been running Trusty it seems more or less random to which screen the panel goes). I don't care much where the panel goes, but sometimes the panel is in the landscape screen and takes only half the screen, or it is in the portrait screen and takes more than the physical width of the screen (so some icons are unreachable). When this happens, if I open gnome-control- center - display, it 'thinks' that the panel is on the other screen (where that panel length would be correct). If I move the panel on gnome-control-center to the 'correct' screen, the panel gets the right length. If I move it back to the other screen, the panel stays in the same panel but goes back to the wrong 'length'. In short, moving the gnome-panel representation on gnome-control-center screen diagram makes gnome-panel adapt to the length of the screen you move it to, but the actual panel does not move from the screen where it is. Let me know if you need any other info, thanks! ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1347366 Title: gnome-control-center display 'Move gnome-panel' doesn't work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1347366/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
