Xubuntu 14.04. Confirming problem with gvfs. Gigolo keeps prompting for username, domain and password. The same happens with gvfs-mount in the terminal. I was experiencing this exact same bug as well. I can confirm this bug. I upgraded to 14.10 about three weeks ago and the Software Updater has been complaining about not being able to install al updates for about a week now. I use aptitude upgrade to do the partial update but a aptitude dist-upgrade says it will remove compiz, unity and a lot of other ciritcal stuff. The cause seems to be in a metacity-common package version conflict.
