The above worked until a reboot. After the reboot even restarting the ubuntu-location-service did not consistently help. Very very rare it happens that after dragging filename (when renaming)
its gray image stays after cancelling the operation. I don't see a way
of removing it but killing nautilus' process.

Shotwell 0.14.1 here. Steps to (re)produce the bug: 1) import images without copying - thumbnails and images are displayed correctly, as per the orientation tag 2) double click on a vertical (i.e. taken in portrait mode) photo 3) right click - open with external editor (gimp) 4) gimp asks if I want to rotate or not - yes, rotate 5) modify image, then save 6) shotwell starts eating 100% cpu and eventually crashes; when re-launched, the image is distorted (see screenshot) issue 6) happens about 80% of the time. I frequently run into this problem whenever I want to rename a bookmark into name@server. As soon as I type the @ symbol on a German keyboard, that is pressing AltGr + Q, the focus gets lost and the renaming stops. [Bug 1059185] Re: bluetooth-wizard doesn't find any devices
I may end up buying the Penguin USB Bluetooth adapter or the Panda USB Bluetooth adapter off of Amazon.com. I will wait about a month to see if there will be a fix. Looks like this is a issue for many 14.04 users.
