[Bug 1246272] Re: Keyboard layout changing randomly
I had the problem that the hotkey (Super+Space) was not actually changing the input method, even though the icon changed. (Selecting it from the menu worked OK). I'm not entirely sure how I fixed it, but I ran ibus-setup and set the settings to: * Customise active input methods: Off * No input methods in list * Use system keyboard layout: Off * Share the same input method among all applications: On and then rebooted. And it started working. In Language Support in the prefs, my input method system is set to Ibus. In the Text Entry prefs, I have two input sources listed - English and Bengali (Avro Phonetic), the key set to Super+Space, and Use the Same Source for All Windows selected. I'm also using a custom font. It's still true that when I select Bengali (Avro Phonetic) and click the little keyboard icon, it shows me the wrong keyboard layout (an English one of some sort). Not sure what's up with that. But at least input method switching works again! Hope this helps someone, Gerv -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1246272 Title: Keyboard layout changing randomly To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1246272/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1373908] Re: UOA integration always creates new evolution-datat-server accounts on login

[Bug 1373908] [NEW] UOA integration always creates new evolution-datat-server accounts on login
Public bug reported: (This is probably the source of all those 'have to enter password again after login' bugs for UOA that are floating around) Bug symtoms: 1. Have to enter password at every login again for EDS 2. loads of accounts pile up in .config/evolution/sources (a new one on every login) What's going on: ubuntu_online_accounts_bus_acquired_cb() in eds/modules/ubuntu-online-accounts/module-ubuntu-online-accounts.c gets connected to the bus-aquired signal. Note also that evolution_source_registry_load_sources() from eds/services/evolution-source-registry/evolution-source-registry.c is connected to the same signal. Given when the plugins are loaded, UOA connects to the signal first, so UOA tries to match up EDS accounts to UOA accounts before the EDS accounts (sources) have been loaded. The patch is simply to use g_signal_connect_after in module-ubuntu- online-accounts.c, which fixes the problem for me. Note though that this change means a whole bunch of code in module- ubuntu-online-accounts.c that has never run will now be run... [Bug 551950] Re: gnome-bluetooth cannot use pin = 1234
Freaking 4 years and this fundamental problem not fixed in 14.04. Another thing: in the Ubuntu Software Center the Bluetooth package contains most of the configuration applets for gnome that are totally unrelated to bluetooth like keyboard settings and desktop fonts, It says it in the description but I thought it was a mistake. That makes no freaking sense. [Bug 1372346] Re: [FFe] gnome-desktop 3.12 transition
ppa:darkxst/gnome-desktop As mentioned on irc, gnome-session update was blocked due to 3.9.90 crashing when running under gnome-desktop 3.8. gnome-panel provides its own dialogs, however seems they are only used when clicking through the system menu. I can revert the dialogs for now, but would seem consistent if fallback sessions always used gnome-panel dialogs. re comment #5, the patch was there just the changelog entry was incorrect. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1372346 Title: [FFe] gnome-desktop 3.12 transition To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1372346/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
