[Bug 1112061] Re: unity forgets focus-follows-mouse setting across update and reboot
Running 14.04. Installed Unity Tweak Tool specifically to let me turn on focus follows mouse. Did so. Multiple times now I discover that it has reset itself back to focus mode "click" through no action on my part. My best guess it that it can happen mid session, and not just across a reboot, but I haven't yet specifically noted when it happens exactly, nor pinned down a cause. However, when it does happen, the unity tweak tool happily tells me that the mode is back to "click" instead of "mouse". [Bug 1410765] Re: GIMP uses more system resources than necessary
System monitor status during a simple touch-up using "Heal" in GIMP. This is the exact same file I was editing from yesterday with the same apps open at the same time, ceteris paribus. I could not perform a screenshot while GIMP was incoherent in the background, forcing me to grab my phone to snap this picture. As you can see, CPU usage goes through the roof in all four cores and fluctuates quickly between using 100% of per-core power to much less, almost like each core is taking a break or trying to push power elsewhere. RAM usage actually appeared to be pretty stable though, so maybe this was not a RAM issue too much at all? The picture was too large to attach...
