what it says on the tin.

[Bug 1417010] Re: systemd init gets stuck reloading smbd.service

2015-02-04 Thread Martin Pitt
I thought I had DHCP fail yesterday on a failing hook, but I cannot
reproduce this today. So the || true was apparently a red herring.

I also linked to the Debian bug which describes the same problem, and
has a proposed patch. We could apply that as a short-term solution, or
try to fix this in systemd properly.

[Bug 1418217] [NEW] printing a scaled page not in the center

2015-02-04 Thread Ismail Gjevori
Public bug reported:

When i want to print a zoomed page i choose for example 150% scaling.
Then i choose also the option to center the page, but i get a part of
the zoomed page starting from the upper-left corner. What i expect is
the center of the zoomed page. Maybe the option to center the page is
not working properly.

   1. Open a Nautilus window and switch to List view
   2. Go to location with write permission
   3. Select a file and try to rename.
   4. When prompted to rename (filename becomes a text entry), open new tab.
   5. Select a file, try to copy and paste. You will see that file is not
 copied and pasted.
   6. Go back to original tab. If the file that was selected in step 3 is

   7. Try to copy and paste. It should work.

[Bug 1153488] Re: Treats bluetooth input device batteries as batteries

2015-02-04 Thread MS
I just performed a apt-get upgrade this afternoon and started seeing
this issue with my Logitech K810 Bluetooth keyboard and Dell XPS 13
laptop. Pretty sure it wasn't there before. The laptop now shows the
keyboard battery in the top panel. When I click on the battery icon, I
can see two batteries listed, the first one is the keyboard battery
which is the actively displayed in the top panel, the second the
laptop's battery.

See attached screenshot, the keyboard battery is identified as a laptop

[Bug 1305335] Re: nautilus fails to copy to ecryptfs Private folder on btrfs - all files 0 bytes

2015-02-04 Thread Rocko
This sounds similar to a situation that I discovered using Ubuntu 14.10
and 15.04:

I have an encrypted home folder (in its own subvolume, in case that's
relevant) and have created a symlink for Downloads to an external
directory outside the subvolume. Files that I copy from this external
directory into home (~) using cp --reflink=auto are always truncated
to zero bytes without any error given during the file copy. It seems to
be the symlink causing the confusion because files that I copy from
other external directories are fine.

As I understand it, the reflink option should be smart enough to know
when it needs to do a full copy (eg if you are copying to another file
system) so the reflink option should be safe to use. So the problem is
probably an issue occurring due to the combination of btrfs and ecryptfs
rather than with nautilus/gnome-virtual-file-system.

[Bug 1418232] Re: running gnome-settings-daemon causes my mouse cursor to disappear

2015-02-04 Thread Tim
gnome-settings-daemon requires idle monitors which are provided by
mutter, for the cursor plugin to work correctly. I think you probably
want to use unity-settings-daemon here, it has its own idle monitor.
This was a fork of gnome-settings-daemon 3.8 and should provide much
better support for legacy/gtk2 DE's
