[Bug 1454603] [NEW] [systemd] Failed to initialize NSS SQL database in sql:/etc/pki/nssdb: NSS error -8126

2015-05-13 Thread dino99
Public bug reported:

Get lot of errors logged into journalctl while using evolution with a
gnome-shell session and chromium-browser
The main issues are:
- take ages to download the mails
- take some time to delete the selected mails at once, and sometime hangs for a
while
- emptying the trash box is also very long with a huge hdd activity.

Seems to be related to that sql database activation problem.

I've always launched Eclipse from terminal.

Yep, its a .desktop file that I've put in /usr/share/applications.

[Bug 1454698] [NEW] Unlocking the screen after sleep logs user off and back on

2015-05-13 Thread Walter R. Moore
Public bug reported:

Locking the session from the system menu appears to happen normally, but
the lightdm page shows the default background. Logging in starts a new
session. It seems clear that invoking screen lock kills the session
entirely.

I consider this bug urgent and a show stopper.

[Bug 952108] Re: [Precise] Nautilus: memory leak

2015-05-13 Thread Andrea R.
I can confirm that there is a memory leak in Nautilus when looking at an
image folder with an high zoom level, even as a list. I'm looking at my
Dropbox Camera Uploads folder and in a couple of minutes of scrolling
back and forth, selecting and deleting images, Nautilus memory usage has
grown of about 1Gb up to 25% of the overall system memory (4Gb).

Have you tried this? to create a desktop configuration file and set its

 great.

[Bug 1454852] [NEW] Double free in afc_client_free() causes it to crash at boot

2015-05-13 Thread Kurt Cancemi
Public bug reported:

When I have my iPod 5G connected to my computer via USB 3 ports (not
sure if that matters) upowerd crashes, viewing the stacktrace it pointed
to libimobiledevice and I fixed the issue, but then I also looked at the
upstream and they had the same fix applied. So this patch should be
included in Ubuntu. I don't have the stacktrace because I don't know how
to get the information back as I patched the package locally and the
problem went away.

[Bug 1454827] [NEW] Can't disable the window close confirmation anymore

2015-05-13 Thread mjh
Public bug reported:

Objective: Disable gnome-terminal's close confirmation dialog

On Ubuntu = 14.10, I would do the following:

gconf-editor - apps - gnome-terminal - global - untick
confirm_window_close

This no longer works with 15.04.

The above process inserts that key into the configuration, but gnome-
terminal does not honour it. gconf-editor gives a warning saying this
key has no schema

This may or may not be classed as a regression.

Certainly, I'd be obliged if anyone could suggest what procedure is
required on 15.04

ProblemType: Bug
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04
Package: gnome-terminal 3.14.2-0ubuntu3

2015-05-13 Thread Pat McGowan
Comparing mako/rtm with arale/vivid
with Wifi off on each, both show inaccurate locaiton based ont he towers
although the locations are not identical, each around 1/4 mi away.

With wifi turned on mako/rtm gets a very accurate reading
Wifi wifi turned on arale/vivid location does not change.

output from sudo GLOG_logtostderr=1 GLOG_v=100 ubuntu-location-serviced

[Bug 1221955] Re: GNOME_KEYRING_RESULT_IO_ERROR from launchpadlib

2015-05-13 Thread jaromil
I'm stumbling into this bug now and then, using standard C code to query
gnome-keyring via gnome_keyring_find_password_sync()

Works most of the time, but returns the error with an approximated ratio
of 2% of the times it is called. In some implementation this may lead in
a dialog asking a password that is already saved, resulting in an
overwrite of passwords stored inside the gnome keyring.

The error message is:

```
Gkr-Message: received an invalid, unencryptable, or non-utf8 secret
Gkr-Message: call to daemon returned an invalid response: (null).(null)()
```

A good way to reproduce could be to write a code that loops through
subsequent gnome_keyring_find_password_sync() requests.

[Bug 1432171] Re: [udev] Shows starting version 219 boot message even with quiet

2015-05-13 Thread Jakub Klecki
Hello.

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I have freshly installed Ubuntu
15.04 with Gnome. When I was upgrading Gnome 3.14 to 3.16 I was asked to
upgrade what I believe to be the kernel (? - I'm a Linux newcomer, I'm not 100%
sure what am I even doing) from 3.19.0-15 to 3.19.0-16. I installed also
proprietary NVidia Drivers. Now, using the advanced options in GRUB I managed
to boot 3.19.0-15. I installed upstart-sysv and rebooted my computer. Something
changed, I got some flashes of Gnome and got

Ubuntu 15.04 ComputerName
ComputerName log-in

printed on my screen. Then everything disappeared and the screen remain
black. I booted 3.19.0-15 again and reactivated Nouveau driver. Then I
rebooted again and... everything is fine.

Conclusion - the error is related to the combination Nvidia driver -
version 346.59 and 3.19.0-15 kernel version.

[Bug 1454057] Re: mounts are shared by default on ubuntu 15.04

2015-05-13 Thread Steve Langasek
Right, this has been subject of countless debates,
but it's not going to change at this point any more.

The behavior change was made for the benefit of systemd's built-in
container solution, which we do not use in Ubuntu. Alignment with
upstream when upstream's behavior breaks our users' systems is not a
goal unto itself. Please reconsider whether this behavior is correct in
the context of *Ubuntu*, or if this behavior should be reverted in order
to un-break existing systems (including, but not limited to,
schroot+ecryptfs systems).

** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu)
   Status: Won't Fix = New

[Bug 1454930] Re: package empathy-common 3.8.6-0ubuntu9.2 failed to install/upgrade: failed to stat (dereference) existing symlink `/usr/share/help/sl/empathy/irc-start-conversation.page': Input/outpu

2015-05-13 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your dmesg attachment in this bug report it
seems that there is a problem with your hardware. I recommend
performing a back up and then investigating the situation. Measures you
might take include checking cable connections and using software tools
to investigate the health of your hardware. In the event that is is not
in fact an error with your hardware please set the bug's status back to
New. Thanks and good luck!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]
