[Bug 1454603] [NEW] [systemd] Failed to initialize NSS SQL database in sql:/etc/pki/nssdb: NSS error -8126
Public bug reported: Get lot of errors logged into journalctl while using evolution with a gnome-shell session and chromium-browser The main issues are: - take ages to download the mails - take some time to delete the selected mails at once, and sometime hangs for a while - emptying the trash box is also very long with a huge hdd activity. [Bug 1221955] Re: GNOME_KEYRING_RESULT_IO_ERROR from launchpadlib
I'm stumbling into this bug now and then, using standard C code to query gnome-keyring via gnome_keyring_find_password_sync() Works most of the time, but returns the error with an approximated ratio of 2% of the times it is called. In some implementation this may lead in a dialog asking a password that is already saved, resulting in an overwrite of passwords stored inside the gnome keyring. The error message is: ``` Gkr-Message: received an invalid, unencryptable, or non-utf8 secret Gkr-Message: call to daemon returned an invalid response: (null).(null)() ``` A good way to reproduce could be to write a code that loops through subsequent gnome_keyring_find_password_sync() requests. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1221955 Title: GNOME_KEYRING_RESULT_IO_ERROR from launchpadlib To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/1221955/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1432171] Re: [udev] Shows starting version 219 boot message even with quiet
Hello. I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. I have freshly installed Ubuntu 15.04 with Gnome. When I was upgrading Gnome 3.14 to 3.16 I was asked to upgrade what I believe to be the kernel (? - I'm a Linux newcomer, I'm not 100% sure what am I even doing) from 3.19.0-15 to 3.19.0-16. I installed also proprietary NVidia Drivers. Now, using the advanced options in GRUB I managed to boot 3.19.0-15. I installed upstart-sysv and rebooted my computer. Something changed, I got some flashes of Gnome and got Ubuntu 15.04 ComputerName ComputerName log-in printed on my screen. Then everything disappeared and the screen remain black. I booted 3.19.0-15 again and reactivated Nouveau driver. Then I rebooted again and... everything is fine. Conclusion - the error is related to the combination Nvidia driver - version 346.59 and 3.19.0-15 kernel version. ** Also affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers-346-updates (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1432171 Title: [udev] Shows starting version 219 boot message even with quiet To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-346-updates/+bug/1432171/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1454057] Re: mounts are shared by default on ubuntu 15.04
Right, this has been subject of countless debates, but it's not going to change at this point any more. The behavior change was made for the benefit of systemd's built-in container solution, which we do not use in Ubuntu. Alignment with upstream when upstream's behavior breaks our users' systems is not a goal unto itself. Please reconsider whether this behavior is correct in the context of *Ubuntu*, or if this behavior should be reverted in order to un-break existing systems (including, but not limited to, schroot+ecryptfs systems). ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: Won't Fix = New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1454057 Title: mounts are shared by default on ubuntu 15.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1454057/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
