[Bug 11334] Re: MASTER Copy-Paste doesn't work if the source is closed before the paste
@pander: Don't you think it's insane to suggest every one of 23 (or more likely thousands) of applications need to implement this internally, instead of a generic solution? In Ubuntu Unity I find Diodon works well, it's completely solved the problem on Unity for me. But the user has to: 1. Realise there's a problem 2. Install diodon. That too is insane. Most users will get bitten numerous times before they discover this solution, if at all. On Lubuntu, diodon installed but didn't solve the problem. I had to google and find a different app. More insanity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to a duplicate bug report (36165). https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/11334 Title: MASTER Copy-Paste doesn't work if the source is closed before the paste To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/abiword/+bug/11334/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1272001] Re: Evolution black background in mail display
I found this bug today in our downstream platform that is still using evolution 3.10.1, and thought it would be relevant to mention that this has been fixed usptream for bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=731872, and also that the patch from there applied cleanly on top of my 3.10.1, fixing the problem seamlessly for me too. So, perhaps you could consider reverting the hack into the CSS files for those two themes (as it impacts GtkWindow and GtkPanel widgets in general) and just backporting that patch on evolution itself too. [Bug 11334] Re: MASTER Copy-Paste doesn't work if the source is closed before the paste
Well until I can install an ISO of Ubuntu and, right out the box (ie.: on the live CD), see that this problem no longer exist without requiring any intervention from the end-user (such as guessing I was supposed to install a software to get a basic OS functionnality to work as expected), this bug is not to be marked as resolved. This include copy/pasting any kind of content from and to any kind of software. If what ever software can fully resolve the issue, it should be included in the distribution and activated by default. Until then, it is a waste of time to ask for each user to install something themself.

[Bug 1536409] [NEW] gimp move by holding space bar does not terminate
Public bug reported: package: gimp 2.8.14 release: Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS circumstance: Running gimp in full screen mode, moving image around by depressing space bar and using mouse. Cursor changes to fist. Note that image was larger by a good bit than window / view of image. expected behavior: On releasing space bar, cursor should resume previous mode and moving mouse should not move image. observed behavior: On releasing space bar, gimp remains in same state (moving image). Moving the cursor outside the window does not release the move either. Clicking mouse (either side) has no effect in window or out. Nor does ESC, space, break, or any other keyboard action. In full screen mode, it is necessary to reboot or restart the desktop to get out of the situation. ** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gimp in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1536409 Title: gimp move by holding space bar does not terminate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gimp/+bug/1536409/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1512826] Re: when i delete .trash_1000 folder frm usb nautilus freeses
The update from `wily-proposed` to glib2.0 (2.46.2-1ubuntu1) is fixing that nautilus does not crash any more, but I can't move the files actually to the trash. I get a message that I only can cancel or skip the attempt or delete the file, but I really like to move it to the trash.
