[Bug 1536600] [NEW] Huge Icons in some themes in evolution

2016-01-21 Thread pramathesh ambasta
Public bug reported:

I installed the Uniform icon theme. When I started Evolution, the
offline-online account at the bottom left of the screen became HUGE. So
did not information icons inside the message body. I have attached a
screenshot which shows this.,

No other gnome application exhibits this behaviour.

I am using Ubuntu 15.10 (gnome session with cairo-dock). Evolution
version is 3.16.5

Am not able to use a perfectly functional icon set because of this

Re: [Bug 1365296] Re: No 'recent' files shown until a file is opened (due to gmenumodel changes)

2016-01-21 Thread Doug McMahon
Not to dissuade you but -
15.04 is just about EOL, 15.10 to follow this early summer so if
affected they don't really matter anyway.
This is not an issue in 16.04 as evince opens to a populated recent
documents screen
So that leaves 14.04 where this is a current issue however a fix could
require a SRU, is anyone going to follow thru on that?

Current version of gnome-disk-utility in 14.04 is 3.10.0-1ubuntu3.

[Bug 1020244] Re: gvfsd-http loops requesting the same page

2016-01-21 Thread dino99
@Axel

agree with you
but there are only two users afected since 2012; none reported against newer
version than 'precise', meaning that problem is not met and so 'fixed'
as it is not a 'security' problem, 'precise' will not receive a fix for that
issue; that's why it was set to 'invalid'; swith to 'incomplete' .

[Bug 1092900] Re: Gnome disk (gnome-disks) utility does not show USB drive has SMART enabled. Option is grayed.

2016-01-21 Thread dino99
@Hans

as reported:
- option is 'grayed'
- only affect 'Lucid'

so that means 'transitional' mis-configuration when that report have been made
as this was not a 'security' problem, this has never been backported; and as
Lucid is now dead, that report is useless.

[Bug 1092900] Re: Gnome disk (gnome-disks) utility does not show USB drive has SMART enabled. Option is grayed.

2016-01-21 Thread Hans Deragon
@dino99. If it still affects 14.04, what should I do now? Recopy the
ticket? Or simply change the description?

[Bug 1510716] Re: Wallpaper gets offset when logged in

2016-01-21 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Luca Weiss, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping
to make Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one.
Could you please send the bug to the developers of the software via
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=nautilus ?
Please advise on the upstream bug URL, so a bugwatch may be added here
about its status. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Probably because it occurs rather seldom, but if it does, it can cause
quite some issues.

Indeed. We only ran into it once. At least there was only once such
incident at our department I'm aware of.

It's not a security problem on the machine, but it caused an security
incident here, because an e-journal provider filed an abuse complaint
at our department and I had to take the affected machine offline until
it was clear that this is "just" a bug and not a malicious (read
"DoS") attack.

So this bug can definitely cause effects that look like a DoS attack
to others.

"Incomplete" is ok-ish IMHO. Nevertheless, I'd prefer to keep that bug
open at least until precise is gone, too.

Regards, Axel
