[Bug 1598515] [NEW] file-roller 3.16.5 in ubuntu 16.04 fails to open older zip files
Public bug reported: I have a website that I periodically submit to a website spider to index all the pertinent words in the website. I do this every time I make a significant update to the website. When the website has been spidered, I retrieve a report which is in a .zip file. I did this today, and I opened the .zip file with file-roller, and checked it, and it was OK. I then decided to compare it to one of the previous reports, and to my surprise, file-roller was unable to open the older .zip files, saying that they are not present in the directory. I tried accessing the same files with file-roller 3.10 on another computer running Ubuntu 14.04 (the drive is shared between the computers), and was able to access both the older files, and the one created today. So there appears to be a problem with file-roller 3.16.5. file-roller: Installed: 3.16.5-0ubuntu1.1 Candidate: 3.16.5-0ubuntu1.1 Version table: *** 3.16.5-0ubuntu1.1 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3.16.4-1ubuntu3 500 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/main amd64 Packages ** Affects: file-roller (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to file-roller in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1598515 Title: file-roller 3.16.5 in ubuntu 16.04 fails to open older zip files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/file-roller/+bug/1598515/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1593379] Re: systemd 229-4ubuntu6 ignores net.ifnames=0 on USB or /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-setup-link.rules being a /dev/null symlink
This bug was fixed in the package systemd - 230-5 --- systemd (230-5) unstable; urgency=medium [ Martin Pitt ] * Sync test/networkd-test.py with current upstream master, and remove our debian/tests/networkd copy. Directly run test/networkd-test.py in autopkgtest. * debian/extra/rules/73-usb-net-by-mac.rules: Disable when /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-setup-link.rules is a symlink to /dev/null, to be consistent with the documented way to disable ifnames. (Closes: #824491, LP: #1593379) * debian/rules: Ignore libcap-ng.so in the "does anything link against /usr" check, to work around libaudit1 recently gaining a new dependency against that library (#828991). We have no influence on that ourselves. This fixes the FTBFS in the meantime. [ Felipe Sateler ] * Convert common code into a private shared library. This saves about 9 MB of installed size in the systemd package, and some more in systemd-*. -- Martin PittFri, 01 Jul 2016 09:15:12 +0200 ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: Fix Committed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1593379 Title: systemd 229-4ubuntu6 ignores net.ifnames=0 on USB or /etc/udev/rules.d/80-net-setup-link.rules being a /dev/null symlink To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd/+bug/1593379/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1021375] Re: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not
Same for me, on Ubuntu 14.04. Try those steps. 1. get a pen drive having a read-only switch. 2. plug in pen drive in write mode 3. check you can write something. 4. Reboot 5. plug in pendrive having read-only switch on 6. check you cannot write 7. uplug normally, do not reboot pc 8. change pendrive switch position to writable 9. plug in pendrive 10. you should see from terminal write permission is OK (and you can make copies by using terminal) but "paste" is disabled in nautilus, and every writing is impossible (you cant paste or create new files). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021375 Title: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1021375/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
