[Bug 1672043] Re: PDF form fields black with California tax forms in evince & xpdf in Ubuntu-14.04
Okular is not an adequate workaround - after Save or Print, likewise the fields are blue on black. Acroread from partner repository is minimally functional, but does not allow saving partially-filled form, does not integrate with CUPS enough to offer the CUPS-PDF printer as a printer choice [note I have no physical printer onsite - workaround is to save to PS file], and does not make source code available. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1672043 Title: PDF form fields black with California tax forms in evince & xpdf in Ubuntu-14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1672043/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1672043] [NEW] PDF form fields black with California tax forms in evince & xpdf in Ubuntu-14.04
Public bug reported: https://www.ftb.ca.gov/forms/2016/16_540.pdf (5844d712b8addc1f89d13ff7c2e40210) Firefox PDF viewer: displays normally - form fields are blank, white or clear background. [Bug 1314556] Re: Unable to mount Android MTP device
This has been happening to me since I upgraded to 17.04 developer preview. As soon as I run Ubuntu in VirtualBox (either 16.10 or 17.04 guest and 17.04 host) and redirect Android phone to it, the system goes wild. Files in /var/log on the host grow to occupy the whole space, all memory is also taken and the processor (at least one of the 8 threads) goes 100%. The situation does not happen when the phone is in PTP. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gvfs in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1314556 Title: Unable to mount Android MTP device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs/+bug/1314556/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1586835] Re: ssh-agent fighting gnome-keyring on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04
Are you all using the GNOME3 Staging PPA? If so, this is a known issue that I don't think will be fixed there. I believe this bug was fixed in Ubuntu GNOME 16.10 so I suggest upgrading. If you do, you will need to upgrade twice per year until 18.04 LTS. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-keyring in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1586835 Title: ssh-agent fighting gnome-keyring on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-keyring/+bug/1586835/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1586835] Re: ssh-agent fighting gnome-keyring on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04
Hi, thanks for the info in this thread. It lead me into a work-around that seems to work for me. The scenario in my case: something is defining SSH_AUTH_SOCK but there's no ssh-agent running, despite use-ssh-agent being set in /etc/X11/Xsession.options. gnome-keyring-deamon is however running, where it's started is however unknown to me. The reason seems different (opposite) but the ssh-behavior is the same: It's not possible to log-in with keys. In my case I'm running unity and LightDM but have have a set-up where both unity, i3 and gnome has been VM/DM. I also still like to alter between VM:s as the machine is used by different users liking one or the other VM more. What's possibly worsened it is that the system has not had a clean re- install since 8.04, i.e. it's always been upgraded. (Some-where along the way I believe recalling having issues with gnome-keyring and possibly making an effort to disable it.) As I don't know where these environment variables are being set (not even SSH_AGENT_PID which in my case is unset), my workaround is to put the following line in /etc/bash.bashrc: if [ "X$(ps -Al -u $USER | grep ssh-agent)" == "X" ]; then unset SSH_AUTH_SOCK fi I'd appreciate feed-back if there are serious drawbacks with this approach or if a better/right way to manage this exists. (One obvious drawbacks is that tweaks like this become obsolete whence the right solution is pushed by the distribution and may cause new issues whence upgrading/updating, which may be how I ended up here in the first pace).
