[Bug 1696929] Re: X1 Carbon gen4 and gen5 touchpads are unresponsive and laggy
Yes it sounds like Peter had already prototyped something like what I later suggested in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=98839#c27 However I already know that's not going to fix this problem. Fixing hysteresis like that only solves the problem of the cursor moving in squares when the finger is moved in circles, at most. Whereas the X1 Carbon gen4/gen5 (and possibly X1 Yoga too) require all hysteresis to be turned _off_. This is because the hardware itself starting in gen4 has so much hysteresis built in (firmware change?) that any additional hysteresis in software makes it unusable. I can move my finger almost a centimeter before the cursor moves... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1696929 Title: X1 Carbon gen4 and gen5 touchpads are unresponsive and laggy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/libinput/+bug/1696929/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1700764] [NEW] Wrong translation picked when initiating snap package

[Bug 1699360] Re: package libpam-systemd:amd64 232-21ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 128
This is probably due to missing gnome-software update https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1688721 please install gnome-software from zesty-proposed; or upgrade these packages using command line. E.g.: $ sudo dpkg --configure -a $ sudo apt full-upgrade ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1699360 Title: package libpam-systemd:amd64 232-21ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 128 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debconf/+bug/1699360/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1699360] Re: package libpam-systemd:amd64 232-21ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 128
The only thing that libpam-systemd postinst does is call pam-auth-update --package and it calls normal #DEBHELPER# stuff. Is debconf / pam-auth-update broken in zesty? ** Also affects: pam (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: debconf (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags added: regression-proposed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1699360 Title: package libpam-systemd:amd64 232-21ubuntu4 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 128 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debconf/+bug/1699360/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1700734] [NEW] gnome-terminal.wrapper -ls results in Unknown option --login
Public bug reported: When executing the wrapper with the -ls option you get an error from gnome-terminal program. (It is not a documented option in the man page, but something I tried to use after looking in the wrapper script.) Failed to parse arguments: Unknown option --login In fact, many of the options treated by the wrapper result in an error from gnome-terminal. This is with gnome-terminal_3.18.3-1ubuntu1 (Ubuntu 16.04). ** Affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1700734 Title: gnome-terminal.wrapper -ls results in Unknown option --login To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1700734/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
