[Bug 1701780] [NEW] GTK file chooser shows entries from /sys, /dev, etc.
Public bug reported: On Kubuntu 17.10 Alpha 1, the GTK file chooser shows several unwanted entries from /sys, /dev, etc. For me, this occurs in the GTK3 file chooser opened from Firefox, GNOME Disks, etc. At the time of writing, I haven't tested whether it occurs in the GTK2 chooser as well. I have attached a screenshot showing the problem. ** Affects: gtk+3.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gnome-17.10 ** Attachment added: "Screenshot showing the problem" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1701780/+attachment/4907215/+files/Screenshot_GTK-File-Chooser_Kubuntu-1710_20170701_01.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gtk+3.0 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1701780 Title: GTK file chooser shows entries from /sys, /dev, etc. To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gtk+3.0/+bug/1701780/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1701772] [NEW] Night Light does not reset after waking up system
Public bug reported: I'm using the latest gnome on Antergos 64bit. I scheduled the Night Light to switch on between Sunset to Sunrise. Last night the Night Light switched on automatically after sunset and then I pressed the power on/off button on my machine to set my system to standby. This morning I resumed my session and noticed that the reddish filter was still visible however the Night Light was switched off. I tried switching the Night Light on and off but that didn't remove the reddish filter. I managed to remove the night light filter by changing the resolution momentarily to some other resolution setting and resetting to my native 4k resolution. [Bug 1701757] [NEW] 17.04 (Zesty) does not source ~/.profile
Public bug reported: I have always set umask at ~/.profile and gnome-session would source this. But in Zesty, this isn't happening, and I can find no way to set a umask default of my choosing for the gnome-session. Creating a document using gedit always produces the default (unchangeable) permission represented by umask 022. If I adjust umask at ~/.bashrc, creating a document in nano or vi works to get a different umask. But Ubuntu users should be able to adjust umask for GTK3 apps (like gedit) as well. If there is a new way to set ~/.profile variables, the documentation needs to be updated to reflect this so people know how to set them. ** Affects: gnome-session (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-session in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1701757 Title: 17.04 (Zesty) does not source ~/.profile To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/1701757/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1701505] [NEW] cannot succesfully restart gdm (screen flashing)
Public bug reported: If I restart gdm from a VT the screen starts flashing and becoming unresponsive. If I press CTRL+C to end the process it stops flashing and I'm again able to use the VT, but I can't start gdm again. The only solution to have gdm back when this happens is to reboot and let gdm start on its own. [Bug 1661590] Re: GNOME Software only supports running one application from a snap
Can you open bugs against GNOME Software upstream and propose patches there? In this case the patch to master will use snapd-glib and be different (I just pushed support for desktop files to snapd-glib master). You can backport changes either to the GNOME stable branch if OK'd by upstream or to the wip/ubuntu-* branches (the former is preferrable and then we can rebase the Ubuntu branches). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1661590 Title: GNOME Software only supports running one application from a snap To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snappy/+bug/1661590/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1661590] Re: GNOME Software only supports running one application from a snap
I put together a gnome-software patch to use the extra info from mvo's snapd change: https://code.launchpad.net/~jamesh/gnome-software/+git/gnome- software/+ref/pick-launch-app It still only supports running one application, but it now favours apps that provide a desktop file, and the snap's main app as a tie breaker. For Libreoffice, this reliably picks the main "libreoffice" binary. It also launches the app via the desktop file if available, so we don't have to guess whether it needs a terminal in that case.
