Still not solved in 17.10 alpha 2 as of now. A real pity. Such basic functionality should be provided working out-of- the-box. This is literally a bug that hasn't been fixed for ages. Bug set to confirmed in April 2012. Nothing done ever since. Would help, but I'm not a programmer. Public bug reported: Seen in artful alpha. Steps to reproduce: 1. Open Files (nautilus) 2. Right-click an item in the left panel such as "Desktop" 3. Observe right-click menu has appeared. 4. Click on a menu item such as "Properties" 5. menu disappears, nothing happens. What I expected: Desktop properties window should appear. Observations: * Menu items do not react to hover-over, do not act like regular menu items. * Seen in ambiance theme, but also tried with adwaita and observed no difference. [Bug 1709135] Re: add bond primary parameter
This bug was fixed in the package nplan - 0.26 --- nplan (0.26) artful; urgency=medium * Bonding: - Add support for specifying a primary slave. (LP: #1709135) * Rebind: - Fix brcmfmac harder. Treat any 'brcmfmac' driver as not supporting rebind. (LP: #1712224) * Autopkgtests: - Add allow-stderr. Systemd now bleats about a the networkd socket still being around and enabled when we restart the service; but we don't need to care since we're /restarting/ the service to load the new config. - Fix the autostart package to be more sensible: we don't really care if networkd autostarts or not, but we need to make sure that our generator will run at boot, so instead check the state, but only assert it once we've added a config file and before checking the state of our dummy device. - Do a bit more to make sure "mix" tests which stack virtual devices are as reliable as possible; by setting saner defaults. -- Mathieu Trudel-LapierreWed, 23 Aug 2017 19:32:33 -0400 ** Changed in: nplan (Ubuntu Artful) Status: Triaged => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to systemd in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1709135 Title: add bond primary parameter To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nplan/+bug/1709135/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1501250] Re: double clicking on a URL drops the protocol from the URL
For me selecting a link using double click is faster than using the right-click context menu (overall don't like menus as I can't use them quickly). To me that's a regression (I can't select URLs as fast as I used to), but that doesn't mean that bringing back the old double-click behavior is the right fix. Is it feasible that a single-click shortcut that could be used for this context-menu option? For me something like ctrl+click or shift+click on a URL instead of using the right-click menu would be acceptable (and probably preferrable to my original double-click + ctrl+shift+c workflow as it's fewer actions / faster). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1501250 Title: double clicking on a URL drops the protocol from the URL To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/vte/+bug/1501250/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
