[Bug 1716068] Re: Gnome Shell crashes randomly
The crash occurs (during the software updates) regardless of whether I run the "gnome-shell --replace" command. I was only running the command before installing the software updates (and therefore, before the crash happened) in one specific session per Ubuntu release in order to get debug information when the crash happens (above). I would never run it in a normal scenario. I crashed gnome-shell on Ubuntu 16.04 again (without running the "gnome- shell --replace" command) and added a symbolic stacktrace, which I managed to upload to Launchpad using the ubuntu-bug command (I needed to enable Apport in 16.04 LTS by commenting-out a line in /etc/apport/crashdb.conf). [Bug 1718083] Re: UIFe: Add Additional Printer Settings button
** Description changed: Impact == The Ubuntu Desktop Team would like to add a button to the "Printers" part of the Settings app (gnome-control-center) named "Additional Printer Settings" that will open system-config-printer. system-config-printer has been part of the Ubuntu default install for years. Justification == The GNOME integrated Printer Settings is nice but it still misses a few settings that were easily configurable in Ubuntu 17.04. The most prominent missing settings is Printer Sharing. See GNOME upstream bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/692532 Hopefully, we can drop the button before 18.04 LTS is released. Could you please modify your reproducer test case to have: udevadm control --reload, before calling trigger action and check if this resolves your issue? [Bug 1716579] Re: gnome-software uses a very high cpu amount
It happened again just now. From the trace it looks like it was when I searched for "gedit" in the overview - which has a snap result AFAIK. [Bug 1710637] Re: Input falls through to gdm3 and terminates the session on Ctrl+C after udevadm trigger is executed under wayland
please note that this rule will also likely be used inside the initrd to set up the console for encyption key input and there will be no systemd around ... you probably want to rather handle it conditionally so it is still available when creating an initrd ... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1710637 Title: Input falls through to gdm3 and terminates the session on Ctrl+C after udevadm trigger is executed under wayland To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snappy/+bug/1710637/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
