[Bug 1723634] Re: nautilus breadcrumbs left and right arrows serve no purpose
I am going to withdraw this bug. I just realized that the left and right arrows are used to show the beginning or ending of the path, respectively, when the path is too long to fit in the horizontal space of the Nautilus header bar. When the full path doesn't fit: - Clicking the left arrow displays the previous parent directories. The user can click multiple times until the root directory appears. At that point, the left arrow button becomes inactive. - Clicking the right arrow displays the next directories. The user can click multiple times until the child directory appears. At that point, the right arrow button becomes inactive. - The left and right buttons are both inactive whenever the breadcrumbs can show the full path to the current folder. ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1723634 Title: nautilus breadcrumbs left and right arrows serve no purpose To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1723634/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1723835] [NEW] Dock - Clicking icon doesn't minimize
Public bug reported: I have open Firefox, it is maximized. Clicking on it's icon in the Dock does nothing, I expect it would minimize Firefox. Unity, KDE and Windows behave in this manor. Window doesn't have to be maximized to show this behavior, clicking the icon in the Dock will bring up a selection popup if there are multiple instances of that application open, but if there is only one it does nothing. [Bug 1723831] [NEW] Alt+Tab doesn't work for same application with multiple windows
Public bug reported: I open 2 File manager windows and also have other windows open. From the side dock, I can switch between the 2 File manager windows. But Alt+Tab doesn't swap back and forth like expected, it picks some other open application and brings that to the front. Tested this with Gnome Terminal and get the same result. Have open 2 terminals and a Firefox browser. I'd think Alt+Tab would switch between them if they were both the current and last used window, but no, Firefox comes to the front. Fix is in lp:~ubuntu-desktop/gnome-software/ubuntu and ppa:ubuntu- desktop/gnome-software (3.26.1-0ubuntu2~ppa1). Tested by installing moon-buggy (crashes with archive version, fixed with new version). Awaiting QA confirmation before release. For me it worked reliably the whole development cycle until the week leading up to the 7th of October. It is borked just for about a week now. [Bug 1723577] Re: Artfull won't start with wayland activated
Even after the updates of today (with the new kernel and the gnome-shell crash fix) the boot splash is getting stuck most of the time (certainly 3 out of 4 tries). Only switching to the nvidia 340 blob fixes that (then it boots reliably, not showing Plymouth at all). I don't think that it is a Plymouth bug, but GDM crashing when trying to bring up Wayland. Since it crashes that early I don't think that it is related to mutter or gnome-shell at all. Or does GDM use mutter these days? [S]Does apport leave a crash log in /var/crash/ with Ubuntu freezing or crashing that early?[/S] EDIT: Nope, no crash log in /var/crash/ at all :( A regression in X?
