[Bug 1299836] Re: Alt+mouse move doesn't drag window any more
The Gnome project have changed some default key combinations that have existed for 30+ years. I don't think this is acceptable. For reference, the new key combination is Super+drag. Alt+Tab has been changed to Alt+~. And the list goes on. I think Ubuntu will do well to maintain the age old defaults. 100 000 users each having to spend an hour trying to figure out why their keys don't work, and having to dig into config files to fix it, is 100 000 man hours wasted doing something really menial. ** Also affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1299836 Title: Alt+mouse move doesn't drag window any more To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1299836/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Thanks ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New ** Description changed: + Upstream: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/47 + Installed Ubuntu version: Ubuntu 17.10.1 "Pointing & Clicking" presents several misbehaviors. Pointing & Clickling can be activated normally under Accessibility tab on Settings, but it does Not behave as expected anymore. When it is activated, the mouse pointer does Not move at all on any application/environment by using any of the numpad keys. Clicking with key 5 on numpad does Not work on Nautilus or on Toolbars/Apps menu (as well as dragging windows by title bar, or resizing windows, by holding key 5 and dragging mouse). Clicking also does Not work on applications such as Settings, Calculator, gedit. Clicking with numpad Does work inside and Only Inside the content of specific applications, such as Firefox, Chrome, Dropbox client, desktop area (where desktop icons are placed). The tests Have been done both with numlock ON and OFF. [Bug 518056] Re: cedilla appears as accented c (ć instead of ç) when typing 'c
@Geraldo: When seeing your comment #175, I can't help thinking of bug #1573755. It's a subtle issue, and to check if that is what you have, you can either enter a guest session or create a new test user. Otherwise, one observation I have made is that Wayland (enabled by default in Ubuntu 17.10, but won't be in Ubuntu 18.04) makes this more difficult. [Bug 1749085] [NEW] VLC appears twice in Ubuntu Software
Public bug reported: Searching for "VLC" in Ubuntu Software shows two results. The first is "vlc" and has the same description as VideoLAN. However, installing the first entry doesn't create a VLC shortcut. What is the first "vlc" entry? Is it malware? ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "VLC appears twice.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1749085/+attachment/5054005/+files/VLC%20appears%20twice.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1749085 Title: VLC appears twice in Ubuntu Software To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1749085/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
