This report: https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/7576bbf83cb88a0b3a870e1371dd86416b23c4b3 suggests the wave of unreadable stack traces this morning was perhaps due to an update to glib2.0, because: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libglib-2.0.so.0.5600.0 (deleted) So they are almost certainly all duplicates of bug 1748450, un- retracable due to the upgrade procedure of glib2.0. [Bug 1762261] Re: Bug in Ubuntu patch for synaptics support prevents me configuring my touchpad same as previous Ubuntu releases
Unfortunately gnome-shell applies each setting on startup, we only changed what applying the setting means. Applying nothing at all is not an option, and not something we introduced. I suggest you either: (a) Uninstall xserver-xorg-input-synaptics, so you're no longer using the patch code; or (b) You use the 'synclient' command to customize your preferences and apply them automatically at login via 'gnome-session-properties'. ** Changed in: mutter (Ubuntu) Status: New => Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1762261 Title: Bug in Ubuntu patch for synaptics support prevents me configuring my touchpad same as previous Ubuntu releases To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1762261/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1763892] [NEW] 144Hz/120Hz monitor but Wayland sessions seem to cap rendering at 60FPS
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Monitor is set to 144hz, but on Wayland it visually fails to go above 60Hz. On XOrg it runs higher and feels much smoother. I have confirmed the monitor is running at 144Hz during the Wayland session, and that is also the setting in the Settings control panel. [Bug 1681269] Re: Launcher Type=link, can not be opened with other application
OK, I had to go back and think about this for a moment since I am no longer on 17.04. I have tested this issue on both Ubuntu as well as Ubuntu Bodgie, both on 18.04 and the same thing is happening with Nautilus as the default. To duplicate the issue, take the desktop file below, save it to the desktop as calendar.desktop. Then, right click on the file. You should be able to open it with gedit. However, if it loads, gedit is empty or contains the last buffer from the previous file edited. You can't set permissions on the desktop file with a right click e.g. set it executable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1681269 Title: Launcher Type=link, can not be opened with other application To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1681269/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1763736] Re: communitheme snap not present in gnome software on bionic, but it is on 16.04
The short answer is the snap package doesn't have an icon set in the store. Set that and it will show. The longer answer is in 16.04 we use the "package-x-generic" icon, but that doesn't seem to work anymore, I think due to GNOME Software having changed the way it uses themes. The generic icon support was dropped by upstream in the 18.04 version, so we need to distro patch it back in. I'll also look at using the new icon the store uses: https://assets.ubuntu.com/v1/6fbb3483-snapcraft-default-snap-icon.svg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1763736 Title: communitheme snap not present in gnome software on bionic, but it is on 16.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1763736/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1388623] Re: Nautilus window leaves icon on the screen
Doesn't apply to Files 3.26 on Ubuntu 17.10 where pressing Esc causes an animation to occur where the icon appears to return to its original position (though the icon in its original position is always visible there anyway). ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1388623 Title: Nautilus window leaves icon on the screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1388623/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
