I open the gnome-control-center and select Dock and move the position down. It turns out that the settings window display disappears as minimized. I screenshot but it automatically captured on different workspace. I have reinstalled the package but it remains the same (window setting disappears) I also tried it from the live session mode and the same thing happened. But if I move the dock position to the right, the settings window still looks like it usually does. It appears that in the recent past this crash became so prolific that it might have been confused for other similar crashes in day to day bug maintenance. For example, the link https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/8ef857b2fe07d60742cd02d7d8f988f78ecd0f95 is actually a different crash with a different log message, and is not this bug at all. That has now moved to bug 1736664. Although the problem isn't just human error, but also I suspect there might be some automatic misclassification going on within errors.ubuntu.com too. If you are experiencing bug 1736664 then please comment there. This behaviour is truly awful on a laptop using trackpad scrolling. If I am scrolling a window down fast to the bottom, once I reach the end of the document the mouse cursor ends up over the task bar and before I know it I'm cycling through windows. I've searched for settings and there don't seem to be any. I also facing the same problem. Downloaded 18.04.1 LTS (Jan 6, 2019) Codename : Bionic It happen when I tried to change taskbar layout from default (at left side) to bottom. Yes, I tried to put the taskbar at bottom then it crashed. I cannot click "Setting" icon, or click "change background" from desktop display. The icon "setting" (the gear icon) displayed on taskbar but if I click it, the window not display. I have already remove gnome-control-center, and reinstall it. Still not working, same result as above.
