[Bug 1754702] Re: Delay before you can type after switching input source
I have one more update. I could not use ubuntu 18.04 with this bug, so since then, I have been working on ubuntu 16.04 with unity. Yesterday I tried ubuntu 19.04 on a live usb and after configure to my usual setting, the bug was not present. I proceeded to install in on my computer, and I found the bug again. I tried the same procedure and I got the same results. Therefore, I am guessing it could be some configuration file somewhere. After backing up my files, I did a clean install and now the bug is nowhere to be found. I could not determine what it was, but I am thinking it was something in the transition to gnome was not compatible. I am using 19.04 with no problem now, working perfectly and very surprised at how much the desktop has evolved in over a year. Beautiful and fast! kudos to everyone involved. I originally filed this bug, so I am not sure if it can be marked as not in disco dingo. [Bug 1820088] Re: GIMP doesn't start in disco dev
I also have this issue after an upgrade from 18.10. I don't see how this is NOT a bug. Simply working on a clean install doesn't make this a non-issue. Ubuntu is still expected to cleanly upgrade. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Gimp and the Gimp libraries. It doesn't fix the issue. The only good news I have is that the Snap Store version does work. [Bug 1825648] [NEW] Adding star column in toggle view is not saved when switching view in Nautilus
Public bug reported: 1) $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 19.04 Release:19.04 2) $ apt-cache policy nautilus nautilus: Installed: 1:3.32.0-0ubuntu2 Candidate: 1:3.32.0-0ubuntu2 Version table: *** 1:3.32.0-0ubuntu2 500 500 http://no.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu disco/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 3) I expected the selected column views to be present, even after I changed view e.g. to a different folder. At least for that same folder it should stay the same. 4) From "Home folder view": After I add the new column option: "Star" to toggle view in nautilus this column is added. However it does not seem to be persistent. Whenever I change the view, or close the nautilus window it is gone the next time I open a new tab / or window. Files and folders marked as star from this view however, seem to be persistent, since they are visible under "Starred" items shortcut in left pane. This does seem to work from: "Documents", "Downloads", "Music", "Pictures", or "Videos" view in left-pane. However it does not work from "Home", or any other non-standard folders / views added as shortcuts to left pane. There are no pending updates for the system at the time of writing. All though I have not been able to test this on another computer, it seems to be a bug, or other settings preventing persistence on my end. If I add other columns like "Recency" instead, these for some reason seem to stay persistent whenever I switch to a different view. Have anyone else seen this phenomenon? [Bug 1825625] [NEW] mutter framebuffer scaling blurs display
Public bug reported: Setting the framebuffer scaling (with gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features "['scale-monitor-framebuffer']") allows the display on HiDPi to be scaled to something different than 100%/200%/300%. Which would be fine. However, the display is rendered such that most applications provide blurred display of text and graphics. This is not always the case (e.g. system settings are displayed correctly, Thunderbird and Firefox are blurred). Also the screen flickers when selection menus or resizing the windows. A black border appears around the windows where the shadow should appear. It gets removed a few seconds later but still is irritating. This issue is not urgent, just annoying.
