[Bug 1834249] Re: Google Chrome pausing live streaming video briefly for a second or two every 5-10 seconds
Sorry, Google Chrome is not part of Ubuntu so we can't handle bug reports for it here. However, if you install 'chromium-browser' and find the same bug in that then we can handle it here. [Bug 1809407] Re: [nvidia] Corrupted wallpaper after resuming from suspend
The Ubuntu release process requires that we always get the fix into the _next_ release first. That means 19.10. After that we are free to propose it for 19.04 and earlier. [Bug 1834211] [NEW] [SRU] gconf FTBFS in Bionic
Public bug reported: [Impact] Two issues make gconf FTBFS in Bionic: - outdated gtk-doc.make which fails with gtk-doc-tools >= 1.26 - missing dh-python in B-D The debdiff attached below fixes these issues and makes gconf build properly. [Test Case] Just install the needed build dependencies and try to build gconf. It will fail with an error from gtk-doc.make. Second issue: if gtk-doc.make is patched, the build will fail if dh-python isn't installed. I've retried the failing tests, except why3 which I think is just busted (not glib2.0's fault - good for a badtest?) Have smoke tested on disco and it seems good to me. I ran the desktop for a bit, checking the video player, text editor, image viewer and web browser. Shell itself of course uses GLib too. desrt might want to test the specific usecase that she had in mind for this upload. apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected disco ** Description changed: Very similar to Bug #1809407 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1809407). Re: [Bug 1021375] Re: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not
@h23 if you are seeing the same behaviour in the terminal the Nautilus is not the problem. Your USB is write protected or your computer is picking it up like that for some reason. You can insert the USB Stick and then run: dmesg | tail To see the system log. There you can see if the write protection is turned on. If you see something like `Write Protect is off`then you should be okay, otherwise the USB Stick is protected. [Bug 1834058] Re: Keyboard layout indicator vanishes after Suspend or Screenlock
Uninstalling all Gnome extensions doesn't make any difference. Before January 2019 everything worked as expected - with or without extensions. The above described bug came up at around Jan 10 2019, and was never fixed. The fix of bug 1812266 didn't change anything to the better. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834058 Title: Keyboard layout indicator vanishes after Suspend or Screenlock To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1834058/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1021375] Re: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not
I see that many people say that killall nautilus works for them but it doesn't change anything for me. Perhaps someone could spell out the exact sequence of actions so that I can make sure that I am the problem? What I am doing right now is insert USB try to paste something into it using nautilus (same with using terminal though), see that it's read only. run killall nautilus in terminal. (restart or not, I've tried both) nautilus window disappears. I try to copy something onto the USB again using Nautilus still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I am working on 16.04.6 LTS Thanks! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1021375 Title: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nautilus/+bug/1021375/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
