[Bug 1893859] [NEW] Fonts size scaling factor setting with Gnome Tweaks failed to take effect on system startup.

2020-09-01 Thread Dylan
Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 20.04.1, Gnome Shell 3.36.4

I set the Fonts size scaling factor to 1.25 with Gnome Tweaks,
Everything is fine in previous.

But, after some recent Ubuntu update, the font size always fall back to
default size at each startup, and the scaling factor shown in Gnome
Tweaks is still 1.25, but failed to take effect.

Also, if I reset the scaling factor after system startup, everything
will back to normal.

[Bug 1893855] [NEW] Mouse cursor hangs on Nautilus

2020-09-01 Thread Paco Raxim
Public bug reported:

In "Files" file manager mouse cursor hangs, while opening a file:

Reproduction

1) click on a text file in Nautilus (gedit opened with the file content)
2) click again on the same text file in Nautilus (5% a second window opens with
the file content and a yellow header with buttons saying "edit anyway" - the
file already opened, 95% chance the second window won't open, and the mouse
cursor hangs (loading icon), and times out 10-15 sec later)

In gedit there are tabs, i would expect that the file will be opened in
the next tab or in a new window - if the file has been changed. If it's
not just activate the previous window and release the mouse cursor.

I have reported similar bugs, however i was not able to figure out the
exact problem before.

[Bug 1893792] [NEW] very tiny fonts on top bar. I downgraded libmutter package temporarily as a workaround

2020-09-01 Thread Juan Avila
Public bug reported:

The temporary solution is:

sudo apt install libmutter-6-0=3.36.1-3ubuntu3 gir1.2-mutter-6=3.36.1-3ubuntu3
sudo apt-mark hold libmutter-6-0

This bug seems to be realated to nvdia graphic cards drivers as there is
no bug when using the open source nvidia driver.

Waiting for you to find a solution guys.

I'm not the only one with this bug. I've found the temporary solution on

[Bug 1893736] Re: ibus-libpinyin can not export user phrases

2020-09-01 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
The installation/Mongolian thing is completely unrelated.

As regards the bogus language item in the list when you open Language
Support, you can probably get rid of it by running this command:

sudo rmdir /usr/share/locale-langpack/mn

And your locale() output looks fine.

So nothing of that is an indication that your system is broken.

As regards uninstalling the system: Well, it's up to you and how
important you think that the ability to be able to export ibus-libpinyin
user data is.

Closing this bug, since the issue is not reproducible.

[Bug 1893754] [NEW] shortcut active in search bar with french keyboard

2020-09-01 Thread Loïc Dachary
Public bug reported:

Keyboard shortcuts are active in the search bar with evolution
3.36.4-0ubuntu1 and 3.36.3-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 20.04 and the french
keyboard. They are not active with the English keyboard.

Steps to reproduce:

* Install Ubuntu 20.04 in french
* Install evolution
* Go in a mailbox
* Click on the search bar
* Type Shift-5 on the keyboard

What happens:

* The current mail header changes color because the 5 shortcut is toggled
* No 5 shows in the search bar

What is expected:

* The character 5 shows in the search bar

Workaround:

* Switch to an english keyboard

[Bug 1893736] [NEW] ibus-libpinyin can not export user phrases

2020-09-01 Thread ganxh
Public bug reported:

After enabling "Remember every input as a phrase" option, ibus-libpinyin
is supposed to be able to import and export user phrases.

However, although the export button works, it exports to a blank
document (the exported file type I used is txt). I also tried to import
a pinyin data file I used on Ubuntu 18.04 first, and then export, but I
still got a blank document.

I have checked that dependencies on
https://github.com/libpinyin/ibus-libpinyin/wiki/Installation#ibus-libpinyin-dependencies
are all satisfied except that libpinyin13 is on my system instead on
libpinyin.can not export user phrases.
