[Bug 1929650] Re: Screen doesn't turn off when using Wayland on some devices
I noticed in the source code recently that power saving modes are implemented differently in atomic KMS, which only got switched on recently. Maybe try turning that off in /etc/environment to see if the problem is specific to atomic KMS: MUTTER_DEBUG_ENABLE_ATOMIC_KMS=0 and then reboot. ** Tags added: impish -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1929650 Title: Screen doesn't turn off when using Wayland on some devices To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mutter/+bug/1929650/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1947553] Re: wrong panel size 21.10
** Description changed: [Impact] - All users of gnome-flashback are affected, because panel size can be - wrong. + This affects users of gnome-panel which have many applets, including + some applets on the center. It is a regression introduced between + Hirsute and Impish. [Test Plan] - Add several applets to upper panel, try to move or rearrange applets, panel right side will be behind screen. + + 1. Install gnome-session-flashback and gnome-applets packages and log in into the GNOME Flashback (Metacity) session. + 2. Right-click on the top panel and select “Add to Panel…”. + 3. Add to center some applets which occupy large space, like CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor. + + Bad behavior: applets on the right side are pushed outside of the + screen. + + Expected behavior: applets on the center are shifted to the left to free + room for the applets on the right side. [Where problems could occur] - Nowhere, it is just local panel bug. + + The fix is changing the function which computes positions of panel + applets. So the regression potential will be limited to positioning. + + Also the added code is not new, it was present in gnome-panel until + https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-panel/-/commit/9d6c76aa58ef3e9c. ** Also affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu Impish) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: gnome-panel (Ubuntu Impish) Assignee: (unassigned) => Dmitry Shachnev (mitya57) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1947553 Title: wrong panel size 21.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-panel/+bug/1947553/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1949294] [NEW] Right-clicking Terminal in the Ubuntu dock and selecting “Preferences” opens a new instance of Terminal instead
Public bug reported: 1) Ubuntu 21.10 2) gnome-terminal (3.38.1-1ubuntu2) 3) The Preferences window should pop up 4) A new instance of Terminal is opened.
