[Bug 1962276] Re: Laptop monitor does not turn off/disconnect when the lid is closed
Hi Daniel yes it is a recent install. I reinstalled Jammy yesterday and ran the updates. It was working fine yesterday and also this morning. before I installed the latest updates. I only noticed that things were not working right when I came home and reconnected the laptop to the external monitor. I have reinstalled Jammy a few time on this machine. I'll keep an eye on the new updates that come through and continue researching. My work around at the moment is to plugin the external monitor and and in the display setting switch it to primary for the session. It works well enough Thanks Rue -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1962276 Title: Laptop monitor does not turn off/disconnect when the lid is closed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1962276/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1962276] [NEW] Laptop monitor does not turn off/disconnect when the lid is closed
You have been subscribed to a public bug: After today's updates I can no longer run my Laptop in clam shell mode. I don't use a dock. I connect the second monitor via HDMI cable and and external keyboard/mouse via a USB hub. Usually I can just plugin the monitor and close the lid and the primary display will switch to the external monitor. Now it will default to Monitor 2 as part of the joint display. I also tested booting the machine and closing the lid but this still defaulted to the external monitor as the 2nd display. [Bug 1961910] Re: Ubuntu 22 crash when updating, broken network manager and cannot report bug
I no longer get crashes when updating (for the last 2 days it works) but I still cannot send bug reports when using `ubuntu-bug`. When I click Send I still see an error dialog with title `gnome-shell` and something about gnome older versions of some packages (accountsservice, bind9-host, bind9-libs, dbus, gir1.2-accountservice-1.0, gir1.2-nm-1.0, libaccountservice0, libsasl2-modules-db, libwhoopsie-preferences0, libwhoopsie0, libxml2, networkmanager, whoopsie-preferences) It's the only problem I have now. [Bug 1961509] Re: Ubuntu Software Center not loading sometimes
My system had some CPU throttling issues causing Ubuntu to lag, everything is fast again now. I have set this to invalid for now. ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1961509 Title: Ubuntu Software Center not loading sometimes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1961509/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1961910] Re: Ubuntu 22 crash when updating, broken network manager and cannot report bug
Sure bug 1962036 is about dbus. This bug is about whatever Alexandru Buhnici's issue really is and that seems unclear still. The bug description suggests it's a gnome-shell crash: _usr_bin_gnome- shell.1000.crash -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1961910 Title: Ubuntu 22 crash when updating, broken network manager and cannot report bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1961910/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1961910] Re: Ubuntu 22 crash when updating, broken network manager and cannot report bug
I'm not sure it's worth going on wild goose chases tracking down the crashes, as the underlying cause is dbus stopping and there's no way to gracefully recover from that, as discussed in 1962036. dbus is expected to be always running, so tons of crashes if it stops are to be expected. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1961910 Title: Ubuntu 22 crash when updating, broken network manager and cannot report bug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1961910/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

I can't access that yet so it's probably still private.
