I have the same issue, plus I couldn't share resource between the VMWare and Windows. I had to update vmware-tools-desktop. This also affects me too. It's more of an annoyance (at least in my case), as clicking the back arrow in the top left corner, and then clicking on the video thumbnail temporarily fixes the issue. I checked it on Fedora 36, and that's how it works.
