[Bug 422012] Re: Emptying the trash can lead to have files still on disk in expunged
Same behaviour on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS with nemo 5.2.4-1 ... The files seem to be moved there if you delete a directory of yours with files from other users in it from the trash. Proposal for behaviour changes: 1. Not create and use the "expunged" folder at all and just fail to delete other users' files from your own trash. 2. Continue to use the "expunged" folder but warn the user when and why and which files are being moved there (and maybe even continuing to show them in "trash:///"). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/422012 Title: Emptying the trash can lead to have files still on disk in expunged To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/422012/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1993940] Re: applications start in the background instead of the foreground
This problem sounds related to focus stealing prevention. That's the feature intended to put new windows in the background when the system thinks you're still busy in the foreground. However, since you're using a 4-year old release I would first recommend trying the latest long term release (22.04.1): https://ubuntu.com/download/desktop because this bug is likely to have been fixed already. ** Summary changed: - applications start in the background instead of the foreground + [bionic] applications start in the background instead of the foreground -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1993940 Title: [bionic] applications start in the background instead of the foreground To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1993940/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1961508] Re: Dock displaying over window after resuming from blank screen
Hi, I just wanted to say that I am also having this problem. I'm on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS with all of the available updates applied. In the attached screenshot, you'll see my terminal window as being underneath the Dock, which I didn't have it like that originally. It tends to happen after unlocking the screen. I do not have the Dock set to use the Auto-hide mode and I've tried using the Dock in both panel and non-panel mode. This bug is super annoying as I need to click the "Restore Down" and then "Maximize" in the window controls in each affected application window to get them fixed temporarily. --William ** Attachment added: "Terminal window underneath the Dock now.
