[Bug 2030310] Re: Every application i opened it proposes to create new default keyring

2023-08-18 Thread Paulo Flabiano Smorigo
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears
to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy.
Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

[Bug 1998716] Re: [raspi] Ubuntu 22.10 does not turn off monitor

2023-08-18 Thread Manuel Diewald
It appears this issue is also being tracked upstream [1].

The issue was fixed by adding firmware code that powers off the HDMI
port, which in turn causes most monitors to go into suspend mode and
turning off [2]. The fkms driver was modified to make use of that
firmware feature [3]. Since I can't reproduce the issue, I can't verify
this myself, but my assumption would be that the issue does not present
itself when the fkms overlay is being used.

With regards to the full kms driver, I don't see how this could be
fixed, considering that using a firmware feature is required. So as far
as I can see, if using the fkms driver is not an option, there is
nothing we could do to solve this issue.

[Bug 2031907] [NEW] gimp is segfaulting on startup

2023-08-18 Thread Jonathan Kamens

out how to disable that so I can't report this crash with appport.
