[Bug 2037191] Re: Lockscreen sometimes doesn't render
"the touchscreen just doesn't render" was a typo, I meant the lock- screen. What I meant was that I opened my laptop and just saw my session (including the shell and my current open Firefox window). I assumed that the lock-screen was supposed to render on top of that, but it was failing to. The system was definitely still locked though as I couldn't interact with any of the UI until I ran "sudo loginctl unlock-sessions". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2037191 Title: Lockscreen sometimes doesn't render To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/2037191/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 2037307] [NEW] Dragging the top activities/time bar freezes GNOME completely
Public bug reported: If you use a touchscreen and drag a finger down on the very top bar (with the time and the former activities button), GNOME will completely freeze. The mouse cursor will be locked in the "drag" state. All keyboard input (including Alt-F2) will be ignored. The only way to escape this state is to switch into a virtual console and kill the current program. [Bug 2000644] Re: switching workspaces with shortcut sometimes freezes screen
Considering it impossible to work with a system hanging every few hours I debugged this over the weekend a few times, but sadly to no further insight. Eventually I've given up and re-deployed Mantic on the system trying to either "help by verifying the issue still exists" or "getting out of it". I can confirm that, at least on my system, the issue is still reproducible right after new installation of Mantic. The workaround of a fix number of workspaces still does not work for me. Setups showing this: - Laptop + 2 external monitors, intel gpu - Laptop + 2 external monitors + 2 via displaylink, intel gpu I intend to undock, reboot and test if it also shows on this machine without external monitors - didn't find the time yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2000644 Title: switching workspaces with shortcut sometimes freezes screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/2000644/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
